Sekülerizmin Çoklu Epistemolojiler Üzerine

Öz

Makale, sekülerzm konusuna, Batı Aydınlanması'nın ontolojk ve epstemelojk temel olarak ve kaptalzm-lberalzm-demokras lşkler açısından yaklaşır. Bu yaklaşımı, Batı ve (Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'ndan devralınmış) Ortadoğu bağlamında, sekülerzmn doğasını, anlamlarını (örn. Batılı kolonyel br kabul ettrş veya mll egemenlk, kurumsal br mekanzma ve dünyagörüşü olarak) ve gelşmesn etkleyen faktörlern farklılığını fade ederek kurar. Daha sonra sekülerzme tarhsel kaptalzmn neolberal evresnde dkkat çekerken, Batı ve Ortadoğu aydınlarının farklı konumlarına, Oryantalzmn her k durumda da örtük etksne eleştrel olarak bakar. Her ne kadar bu kısa çalışma, btmş br syasal ekonom krtğ ortaya koymayı hedeflemese de, sekülerzm konusunu, çsel olarak, Dünya-Ekonom'nn kurulmasıyla bağlantılı ele alıp sekülerzme kaptalst sstemn syas-deolojk anlamda hem meşruyet hem eleştr araçlarının epstem olarak yaklaşması açısından, böyle br krtk çn gerekl olan yönü tayn etmektedr.

On the Multple Epstemologes of Secularsm

Öz

The artcle approaches the ssue of secularsm, takng t as the ontologcal and epstemelogcal bass of European Enlghtenment, from the pont of relatons amongst captalsm-lberalsm-democracy. It bulds the approach by way of expressng the dfferences n the nature, meanngs (.e. as an ssue of Western style colonal mposton or an ssue of worldvew, nsttutonal mechansm and natonal soveregnty) and development of secularsm n the Western context and the Ottoman-nherted Mddle Eastern context. Later, whle the artcle draws attenton to secularsm n the neolberal age of hstorcal captalsm, t crtcally examnes the dfferng postons of Western and Mddle Eastern ntellectuals and the hdden mpact of Orentalsm. Although ths lmted artcle does not am to provde a fullfledged poltcal economy crtque on the ssue, t nevertheless ponts out the drecton such a crtque would have to take, by way of takng up the ssue of secularsm as nherently related to the consoldaton of World-Economy, and approachng secularsm as the epsteme of the tools, n the poltco-deologcal realm, of the captalst system, of both legtmacy and crtque.
