Ebeveynlerin Kreş Seçimi Üzerine Çok Kriterli Karar Verme: VIKOR Yöntemi İle Giresun Örneği Üzerinde Bir Uygulama

Öz

Değişen ve giderek zorlaşan yaşamı idame ettirme koşullarında ekonomik bir özgürlüğe sahip olmak, yaşam standartlarını iyileştirmek sadece ataerkil aile yapılarında erkek için değil kadın için de önemli bir unsur olmaktadır. Bu yaşanan gelişmelere karşı çocukların bakımının anneye bırakılması, annelik rolünün toplumsal bir gereklilik olarak değerlendirilmesi vb. bakış açıları nedeniyle kadın iş yaşamından uzak durmaktadır. Küreselleşme ile birlikte kadın istihdamının artması çocuk bakımı için kreş, gündüz bakım evi gibi işletmelere ihtiyaç olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ebeveynlerin çocuklarının hem gündüz bakımı hem de eğitim süreci için bırakıldığı kreşlerin seçimine ilişkin çok kriterli karar verme tekniklerinden VIKOR yöntemi ile en iyi kreş tercihin belirlenmesine yönelik bir uygulama yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya Giresun İl Merkezinde bulunan sekiz kreş dahil edilmiş ve literatür taraması ile belirlenen kriterler ile birlikte en iyi kreş tercihi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda 8 kreş arasında fiyat, öğretmen sayısı, kontenjan ve uzaklık (şehir merkezine) kriterlerine bağlı olarak A2 kodu verilen kreş en iyi tercih olarak bulunmuştur.

Multi-Criteria Decision Making on Parents' Choice of Kindergarten: An Application on the Case of Giresun with the VIKOR Method

Öz

Having economic freedom and improving living standards in changing and increasingly difficult living conditions is an important factor not only for men but also for women in patriarchal family structures. Against these developments, leaving the care of children to the mother, evaluating the role of motherhood as a social necessity, etc. women stay away from business life because of their perspectives. With the increase in women's employment with globalization, there is a need for businesses such as kindergartens and day care centers for child care. In this study, an application is made to determine the best kindergarten choice with the VIKOR method, which is one of the multi-criteria decision-making techniques regarding the selection of kindergartens where their children are left for both day care and education process. Eight kindergartens in Giresun City Center are included in the study and the best kindergarten choice is searched together with the criteria determined by the literature review. As a result of the research, the kindergarten with the A2 code is found to be the best choice among eight kindergartens, depending on the criteria of price, number of teachers, quota and distance (to the city Centre).
