Türk Dış Politikasının Avrupalılaşması: Türk-Yunan İlişkilerinde Ege Uyuşmazlığı

Öz

Bu çalışma, Türkiye’nin dış politikasının Avrupalılaşmasını, Türkiye’nin AB üyelik hedefi ve bu sürecin Türk-Yunan ilişkilerine etkisi bağlamında incelemektedir. Çalışma, Türkiye’nin dış politikasındaki Avrupalılaşma sürecinin, AB’ye tam üyelik beklentisiyle şekillendiği görüşüne dikkat çekmektedir. Ege sorunu, Türk-Yunan ilişkilerinde Avrupalılaşmanın etkisini gösteren önemli bir örnektir. Çalışmada, kıta sahanlığı, karasularının genişliği ve adaların silahlandırılması gibi temel anlaşmazlıkların, AB’nin koşulluluk mekanizmasıyla uluslararası platformlarda ele alınışı incelenmiştir. 1999 Helsinki Avrupa Konseyi’nde Türkiye’nin adaylığının açıklanması, iki ülke arasındaki yakınlaşma sürecini hızlandırmış ve Ege’deki anlaşmazlıkların çözümüne yönelik bir zemin oluşturmuştur. Ancak, tam üyelik sürecinin güvenilirliğini yitirmesiyle birlikte Avrupalılaşmanın hızında yavaşlama gözlemlenmiştir. Türkiye’nin Avrupalılaşma süreci, AB ile uyum çabalarını Türk-Yunan ilişkilerindeki anlaşmazlıkların çözümüyle birleştirmiştir. Bu çalışma, Ege sorunu örneği üzerinden Avrupalılaşmanın, Türkiye’nin dış politikası ve bölgesel ilişkileri üzerindeki dönüştürücü etkisini ortaya koymaktadır.
