Some Küy's (Lament) Song By Karachay-Balkar Refugees During The World War II
Abstract
Küu's (laments) are a significant part of Karachay-Balkar peoples verbal literature traditions. They are generally about personal incidents but they also include historical events, so they give information about the social events and reactions of the people at the the time it was sung.In the historical process The küu's songs among the Karachay-Balkar people like, "Kanamat", "Tatarkari", "Gapalau", "Atabiyni Cırı", "Bekbolatnı Cırı", "Hacıbiyni Cırı, "Köçkünçülüknü Cırı" give detailed information about the important events of the period they were sung. During the II. World War, Karachay-Balkar's had to abandon their native country and became refugees with other Caucausus people like Adige-Kabardian, Chechen-Ingush, Daghestani and Ossetians. Some of these Karachay-Balkar's narrated their feelings and thoughts and the situation they were in and help them reach today. Some of the Küu's has been compiled from derivative people and adressed in this article.
