Each institution such as the universities are to serve a social purpose or a few. Structures, strategies and resource usages forming always tried to reach these goals. Universities are doing today and will do tomorrow trying to determine the strategic planning processes. This is a legal obligation for our country and the use of scarce resources and the right amount in the right direction and expression of an important process for the effective control. Universities strategic directions, performed during the strategic planning activities; such as environmental analysis, , identify their missions, visions, and carried out in accordance with the basic values. For this reason, the router which is the strategic elements of the universities; composed of the strengths and weaknesses, environmental opportunities and threats, mission, vision and basic values. In this study, results are presented in the context of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Univesity’s strategic planning activities. According to the results, perceived by Mehmet Akif Ersoy University employees; institutional and individual youth and dynamism is the most important strength, lack of infrastructure and academic staff is weakest side, the most important opportunity is to be project-oriented, the most important threat is to the inadequacies of the budget, education, and research is the most important missions, contribute to regional development is priority vision.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Çalışanlarının Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi'nin Stratejik Yönlendiricileri Konusundaki Tutumları

Öz

Her kurum gibi üniversiteler de toplumsal bir veya birkaç amaca hizmet etmek için vardır. Yapılanmaları, stratejileri ve kaynak kullanımları hep bu amaçlara ulaşacak şekilde şekillendirilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Üniversiteler bugün yapıyor olduklarını ve yarın yapacaklarını stratejik planlama süreçleri ile belirlemeye çalışmaktadır. Bu durum, ülkemiz açısından yasal bir zorunluluk olmakla birlikte kıt kaynakların doğru yönde ve doğru miktarda kullanımını ve etkin denetimi için önemli bir sürecin ifadesidir. Üniversitelerin stratejik yönelimleri, stratejik planlama çalışmaları sürecinde gerçekleştirilen çevre analizleri, tespit ettikleri misyonları, vizyonları ve temel değerleri doğrultusunda gerçekleşmektedir. Bu nedenle üniversiteleri stratejik açıdan yönlendirici konumunda olan unsurlar; güçlü ve zayıf yönleri, çevresel fırsatlar ve tehditler, misyon, vizyon ve temel değerlerinden oluşmaktadır. Bu çalışmamızda, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesinin stratejik planlama çalışmaları kapsamında gerçekleştirilen bir araştırmanın sonuçları sunulmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi çalışanları tarafından; kurumsal ve bireysel gençlik ve dinamizm en güçlü yön, alt yapı ve akademik personel eksiklikleri en zayıf yön, proje odaklı olmak en önemli fırsat, bütçe yetersizlikleri ise en önemli tehdit, eğitim ve araştırma en önemli misyonlar, yöresel gelişime katkı öncelikli vizyon olarak algılanmaktadır.
