Öz
In this study, the effects of pot shape and position of entrance on fishing efficiency and species compositions is discussed by square and cylindrical shaped pots from two different entrance position were tried. 1412 individuals of two crabs and 13 fish species were caught in parallel trials, by performed two pot sets. 293 individuals were caught by members of the Labridae family. During the research while the largest number of catch with 293 individuals consist from members of the Labridae family, this was followed by the Eriphia verrucosa with 148 individuals and Blenniidae family members with 160 individuals respectively. The proportion of species consumed as food by the local consumer is around 70% of total catch. According to results of research it can be said that; These fishing pots can be used to trapping in Black Sea coasts for crab and some fish like warty crab (E. verrucosa), pickerel (Spicara maena), gobies (Gobius spp.), annular seabream (Diplodus annularis) and brown meagre (Sciaena umbra).
