Internet usage has increased rapidly in the last 15 years. As of 2020, approximately 59% of the world’s population has internet access. Along with the increasing popularity of inetnet, clinical cases with signs of abuse have begun to emerge. People who are “internet addicted”, usually do not realize exactly the time spent, when they are on the internet. The aim of this study is to measure whether there is a significant relationship between university students’ internet addiction and time management. We also test whether the internet addiction and time management differentiate according to the demographic features. The target population of the study consists of students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences of a state university in Istanbul. This study is carried out in the form of a survey to the participants selected by convenience sampling method. The surveys were filled on the internet by the students who agreed to participate in the research. The statistical analyses of data were made with “SPSS 20 Software”. Analyses do not indicate any significant relationship between participants’ internet addiction tendencies and time planning sensitivity. However, we can conclude that there is a negative relationship between internet addiction and time attitudes and time wasters. In addition, it can be stated that there is a negative relationship between the participants’ internet addiction tendencies and elements of time attitudes such as using time constructively, completing the goals within the specified time, and saying no when it is required. Similarly, it can be put forward that there is a negative relationship between participants’ internet addiction tendencies and the tendencies of conducting beneficial activities and completing important assignments before the deadline.
