Kant’ın Anlama Yetisi ve Akıl Ayrımının Plotinos’un Ruh ve Tin Hipostazları ile Karşılaştırılması

Öz

Bu makalenin ilk amacı, Kant’ın metafiziği dizgeleştirme çabasının kökenlerini Plotinos’un metafizik sistemi üzerinden incelemektir. Bu doğrultuda, temelde Kant’ın anlama yetisi ve akıl arasında gerçekleştirdiği ayrım ve bu noktada aşkınsal refleksiyona verdiği konum, Plotinos’un Ruh ve Tin hipostazları arasında gerçekleştirdiği ayrım ve Evrensel Ruh’a verdiği konum ile karşılaştırılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda Plotinos’un Evrensel Ruh, Ruh ve Tin tasarımları bireyin bilme yetileri olarak ele alınmaktadır. Makalenin ikinci amacı, Kant’ın, metafiziğin kendi zamanına değin bir bilim olarak ortaya çıkmadığına dair iddiasına yönelik bir örnek olarak Plotinos’un metafizik sistemi üzerinden eleştirme girişiminde bulunmaktır. Böylece gerek Kant’ın metafiziği dizgeleştirme çabasında Plotinos’un etkisi araştırılmakta gerekse de metafiziğin bir bilim olarak Plotinos’taki mevcudiyeti incelenmektedir.

A Comparison of Kant's Distinction between Understanding and Reason with Plotinus' Hypostases for Soul and Spirit

Öz

The primary purpose of this paper is to examine the origins of Kant's attempt to systematization of metaphysics through Plotinos' metaphysical system. In accordance with that, the article contrasts Kant's distinction between understanding and reason, and the status he ascribes to transcendental reflection, with Plotinus' discrimination between soul and spirit hypostasis together with the status he ascribes to Universal Soul. In this respect, the article examines Plotinus' concepts of soul and spirit as the knowing ability of individuals. The secondary purpose of this article is to attempt, by giving Plotinus’ metaphysical system as a good example, to criticize Kant's claim that metaphysics has not emerged as a science up until his time. Thus, the article examines both the influence of Plotinus on Kant's effort to systematize the metaphysics and the status of metaphysics as a science in Plotinus’ system.
