FEATURES OF IDEAL TEACHERS FROM STUDENTS’ POINT OF VIEW; GAZİ VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL SAMPLE
Öz
Recently, individuals and institutions have focused on improving quality to increase students’ success. While improving quality the focus is on teachers and students. The research looks for an answer of the question “How do the students in secondary education comprehend the features of an ideal teacher?”. In this descriptive research model, the opinions are gathered with a questionnaire from students in Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Yenimahalle district of Ankara in 2013-2014 academic year. SPSS 20 software is used to analyze the data.The data collected are analyzed using one-way analysis of variance in multiple group comparisions. As a result of this research, the findings about features of an ideal teacher are stated as; Ideal teacher should be tolerant and cheerful, provide students’ participation to lesson by attending with them, use homework, projects and in class activities while evaluating students’ success and be accessible

ÖĞRENCİ GÖZÜYLE İDEAL ÖĞRETMENİN ÖZELLİKLERİ: GAZİ MESLEKİ VE TEKNİK ANADOLU LİSESİ ÖRNEĞİ
Öz
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı “Ortaöğretim kurumlarında okuyan öğrenciler ideal bir öğretmende bulunması gereken özellikleri nasıl algılamaktadır?” sorusuna cevap aramaktır. 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılında betimsel araştırma modelinde yapılan bu araştırmada Ankara ili Yenimahalle ilçesi Gazi Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesinde okuyan öğrencilerin ideal öğretmen hakkındaki görüşleri bir anket yardımıyla öğrenilmeye çalışılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS 20 programı kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler çoklu grup karşılaştırmasında tek yönlü varyans analiziyle çözümlenmiştir. Toplanan veriler üzerinde yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucu bu araştırmanın sonucunda ideal bir öğretmende bulunması gereken nitelikler ile ilgili şu bulgulara ulaşılmıştır: İdeal öğretmen hoşgörülü ve neşeli olmalı, öğrencilere ilgi göstererek öğrencilerin derse katılımını sağlamalı, öğrencilerin başarısını değerlendirmede ödev, proje ve ders içi etkinliklere de yer verebilmeli ve öğrenciler tarafından kolayca ulaşılabilmeli
