EDUCATION IN MUSEUMS WITH NEXT GENERATION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

This study emphasizes the importance of this change, which will certainly change museum programs due to the technology-based demands of the quickly changing new generation.Museums have to be open to the novelties brought by the constantly changing world in order to maintain their purpose, which is education. Museums have to use new education methods in social, cultural and administrative environments in order to keep up with innovative and changing conditions. In this century, museums undertook the duty to educate the public through learning methods based on new experiences in this age of information. The new generation prefers creative presentations that are converted to be dynamic, instead of the traditional static systems. The changing demands and requirements of this new generation target audience bring about a change in the mode of operation of museums. Museums have an extra duty to providing interactive, creative, productive and sustainable learning skills to their visitors. Museums have to define the difference between generations, accurately observe these changes and provide contemporary education programs in terms of shaping the children’s perception. The different requests of the next generation will cause problems for museum administrators in the future. The youth is used to being constantly in the virtual environment, will have difficulties in defining the line between the real and the virtual in museums.Today, museum studies have to be evaluated alongside learning skills. The education programs will that are restructured to emphasize technology be able to keep up with the quick pace of change. The new generation will that is very familiar with technology use the museums. Museology will be able to keep up with this change. The use of technology by the museums in order to provide information, promotion, information gathering, exhibition and display requires constant innovation. The museums will be able to change in accordance with the needs and demands of the new generation, along with educational technology

YENİ NESİL TEKNOLOJİLER İLE MÜZELERDE EĞİTİM

Öz

Bu çalışma yeni neslin, teknoloji odaklı isteklerinin, müze çalışmalarını zorunlu olarak değiştireceği görüşüyle, bu değişimin önemine dikkat çekmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Müzeler eğitim görevlerini sürdürebilmek için sürekli değişen dünyanın getirdiği yeniliklere açık olmak zorundadır. Müzeler inovatif/yenileşen, değişen koşullara ayak uydurabilmek için toplumsal, kültürel ve yönetsel ortamlarda, yeni eğitim yöntemleri kullanmak zorundadır. Müzelerde yeni nesil, klasik, durağan sistemler yerine dinamik yaratıcı sergi ve sunumları tercih etmektedir. Müzeler, yeni deneyimlere dayalı öğrenme metotları ile bilgi çağında toplumu eğitme görevini üstlenmişlerdir. Yeni nesil hedef kitlenin istek ve ihtiyaçlarının değişmesi müze deneyiminin de değişimini sağlamıştır. Ziyaretçilere interaktif, yaratıcı, üretken ve sürdürü- lebilir eğitim becerileri kazandırmada müzelere yeni görevler düşmektedir.Çocuğun algı dünyasını şekillendirme konusunda müzeler kuşaklar arası farkı iyi tanımlayıp, bu değişimleri iyi gözlemleyip, çağa uygun eğitim çalışmaları yürütmelidir. Gelecekte yeni neslin, müzelerden farklı talepleri, müzeciler açısından sorun yaratabilir. Sürekli sanal ortamda alışan genç nüfus, müzelerde gerçeklik ile sanallık arasındaki çizgiyi tanımlamakta zorluk çekebilir. Günümüzde müze çalışmaları, eğitim becerileri ile birlikte değerlendirilmektedir. Teknolojiyi ön plana çıkaracak şekilde yapılandıran, eğitim programları hızlı değişime ayak uyduracak ve gelecekte teknolojiye aşına yeni nesil müzeleri kullanacaktır. Müzeoloji bu değişimi yakalayabilemek için yeni nesil teknolojik aletlere müzelerinde yer vermek zorundadır. Müzelerin teknolojiyi; bilgi sağlama, tanıtma, bilgi toplama, sergileme ve gösterim amaçlı kullanmaları, sürekli yeniliğe açık olmaları gereklidir. Müzeler de eğitim teknolojileri ile birlikte yeni neslin ihtiyaç ve isteklerine uygun olarak değişim gösteren kurumlar olarak karşımıza çıkacaklardır
