CARTOONS AND THEIR USE IN MATHEMATICS TEACHING
Abstract
The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between mathematics and cartoons as an
alternative educational tool in the teaching-learning process. By this goal, by using related
literature, some cartoons, as possible educational tools were classified and presented. In
the classification, cartoons’ definitions, properties and ways of using in mathematics
education were discussed with related examples. In the last section, the contributions of
cartoons using in mathematics education will be presented.
