Gönüllü Çocuksuzluk ve Kürtaj Tartışmasına Feminist Bakış

Öz

Bu çalışma gönüllü çocuksuzluk kavramının ne anlama geldiğini feminist literatürden hareketle eleştirel bir şekilde ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu doğrultuda ataerkil ideoloji gönüllü çocuksuzluğun sebeplerini kadını problematize ederek sunarken, kadınların bu tercihi özgürce yapabilmesinin önünü kapatmaktadır. Gönüllü çocuksuzluk tartışmaları, risk ve özgürlük ikiliğinde kadınların bu tercihi yaptığını açıklarken kürtaj meselesini de bu alanın içerisinde değerlendirmeye açık hale getirir. Böylece kürtaj, gönüllü çocuksuzluk kararını verirken kadınlar için bir uğrak noktası olarak karşımıza çıkabilir. Bu nedenle çalışmanın ilerleyen kısmında kürtaj üzerine feminist literatürde yer alan tartışmalar değerlendirilirken kürtaj mücadelesinin feminist mücadele içindeki yerine de odaklanılmaktadır. Bu mücadele alanı kadınlar için bilinç yükseltme işlevi görmesinin yanında kadın bedeniyle ilgili olarak ataerkillikle mücadeledeki önemli alanlardan biri olarak görülmektedir. Bu anlamda literatürdeki gönüllü çocuksuzluk tartışmalarıyla kürtaj tartışmalarının ilişkisini kurmak, kadın bedeni ve özgürlüğü noktasındaki tartışmalara destek olabilir. Bu çalışma, kadınların gönüllü çocuksuzluk seçeneklerinin de olduğunu ve bu alanın feminizm içerisinde uzun yıllar mücadele edilen bir alan olduğunu hatırlatarak feminist çalışmalara katkı sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır.
