The construction industry, unlike other industries, is a multidisciplinary industry. Timely and correct execution of works that are a continuation of each other in the sector; important for the continuity of operations. In this context, ensuring employee motivation is one of the main factors for organizational efficiency. Another factor for the sustainability of the success of the institutions is the organizational commitment of the employees to the institution. At this point, two basic elements that contribute significantly to increasing efficiency in an organization are; employee motivation and organizational commitment. The role of architects, who are the main actors of the construction industry, in the construction process requires focusing on the effect of organizational commitment on their motivation.In this study; it is aimed to investigate the effects of organizational commitment of staff architects working in private sector on their job motivation. Within the aim of the study, a questionnaire was applied to 216 staff architects working in the private sector. The study showed that the organizational commitment of the employees has an effect on their work motivation. According to the organizational commitment sub-dimensions, it was found that emotional commitment was associated with motivation at a higher level than other sub-dimensions.
