ABSTRACT Teachers' personality and teaching practices play an important role for their students' decisions to choose teaching profession. This study aims to investigate and evaluate the unforgotten experiences of prospective teachers with their own elementary school teachers. Participants were 140 prospective teachers from the Primary School Teaching Program at Pamukkale University. The data were gathered by a questionnaire including open-ended questions aiming to reveal positive and negative experiences. The gathered data were analyzed by employing the techniques of content analysis, frequency, and percentage. Findings draw attention to the experiences in ethics and proficiency/deficiency categories and demonstrate that negative experiences often fall into ethics category while positive experiences were in proficiency category. Eliminating the ethical issues might influence the images toward teaching profession.
