The effect of the tendency of tourism students to provide lifelong learning services: An example from Van

Service disposition can be expressed as the willingness of individuals to apply the knowledge they have acquired in providing service. The concept of lifelong learning accepts that learning is independent of temporal and spatial limitations and emphasizes that the desire to learn can occur anywhere. Lifelong learning is a positive concept that shows the continuity of personal development. Quantitative method was used to obtain data in this research, which included determining tourism students' willingness to serve and lifelong learning behavior. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of tourism students' service disposition on their lifelong learning disposition. The research population consists of tourism students studying in Van province. While collecting data in the research, sample selection was made and data was collected from seven different educational institutions by choosing the convenience sampling method. Data were collected from 408 participants face-to-face and online. As a result of the research, a strong positive relationship was determined between service propensity and lifelong learning tendency. In addition, it has been concluded that the dimensions of service disposition, making the customer feel special, understanding customer requests and providing services successfully have a positive significant effect on lifelong learning tendency.
