DEVELOPING A THREE TIER CONCEPTS DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE OUTCOMES OF “THE SYSTEMS İN OUR BODY” UNİT
Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to be developed a three tier concept diagnostic test on “The systems in our body” Unit in 6th grade science lesson and to be provided its validity and reliability with aim to determine misconceptions. The developed test was applied to 357 7thgrade students attending at three secondary schools in the center of Samsun. For the concept diagnostic test consisting of total 51 questions was performed validity and reliability studies. The reliability of the concept diagnostic test was evaluated as 0.774 with the help of KR-20 reliability estimation method for the first stage questions. In addition, when the questions of all stages were evaluated together, the test reliability was found as 0.683. As a results of the analysis, it can be said that the concept diagnosis test is valid and reliable measuring tool, in order to determine misconceptions on the subject of “The systems in our body” Unit
