Covid-19 Salgın Sürecinde Toplumsal ve Dini Yaşamın Dönüşümü: Psikososyal Bir Analiz

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Covid-19 salgın sürecinde toplumsal yaşamda gözlemlenen dönüşümlere bağlı olarak din kurumunun salgından nasıl etkilendiğini belirlemeye çalışmaktır. Psikososyal analizle desenlenen çalışma, sosyal psikolojide var olan çeşitli kuramlar eşliğinde toplumsal ve dinȋ yaşamın dönüşümünü incelemektedir. Kriz döneminin kendine has akışkan değişimine uyum sağladığı var sayılan din, geleneksel formundan farklı olarak, kaygılı insanı teskin edecek yeni inanç ve dindarlık formları üretme potansiyelindedir. Bu kapsamda salgın sürecinde din ve dindarlığın farklılaşması, yaşanmaya başlanan sentetik dönüşüme karşı dinin gösterdiği karşı duruştan öte, bir tür evrimsel uyum veya varoluşsal tepki olarak nitelenmiştir. Seküler, mistik ve paranormal unsurlar ile bunlara tezat oluşturan dinȋ ve manevi yönelimlerin salgın ile birlikte öne çıktığı gözlenmiştir. Çalışmada bu karmaşık davranış sürecinin altında yatan psikososyal motivasyonlar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda dinin, salgın sonrasında değişeceği ve daha da dijitalleşecek dünya ile birlikte bir tür post-corona dindarlığı oluşturup varlığını yeni bir formda sürdüreceği öngörülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın var olan düşünsel zeminde yeni tartışma alanları açması ve sosyal bilimler alanına katkı sunması umulmaktadır.

Transformation of Social and Religious Life in the Covid-19 Epidemic Process: A Psychosocial Analysis

Öz

The purpose of this study is to attempt to ascertain how the religious institution was impacted by the epidemic in light of the changes in social life that were noticed throughout the Covid-19 pandemic period. The study, designed with psychosocial analysis, examines the transformation of social and religious life in the company of various theories in social psychology. Contrary to its traditional form, religion has the capacity to develop new forms of belief and religiosity that would calm nervous individuals. It is expected that religion will adapt to the particular fluid change of the crisis time. Instead of being in opposition to the synthetic shift that has already started to be experienced, the differentiation of religion and religiosity during the epidemic process has been characterized in this context as a kind of evolutionary harmony or existential reaction. With the epidemic, it has been noticed that secular, mystical, and paranormal components as well as opposing theological and spiritual beliefs have come to prominence. The study attempted to identify the psychosocial factors driving this complex behavioral process. As a result of the study, it is predicted that religion will change after the epidemic and will create a kind of post-corona religiosity and continue its existence in a new form with the world that will become even more digital. It is hoped that this study will open new areas of discussion on the existing intellectual ground and contribute to the field of social sciences.
