Behavioral contagion, featuring in a number of studies across different disciplines, has been one of the most attractive issues taking attention in the literature in the recent years. In this context, the purpose of the study is to determine the existing main themes in the literature on “behavioral contagion” and to lay the ground work to contribute to future research with implications for managerial sciences. Within the scope of the study, 162 behavioral contagion studies have been identified and included in the analysis since 1980. The analysis revealed that while 5 publications in the business category focused on the behavioral contagion, only 3 publications in the management category focused on the same issue. The limited number of studies in the managerial science does not allow them to be divided into periods such as birth, growth and development. The analysis also revaled that, behavioral contagion, attracting attention in the literature for the last decade, has not reached a satisfactory level yet and therfore we can conclude that it is an area for improvement in the context of management literature.
