İklim Değişikliğinin Rekreasyonel Dış Mekân Spor Faaliyetlerine Etkileri ve İklim Değişikliğine Uyum Stratejileri

Öz

Bu araştırmada iklim değişikliğinin rekreasyonel dış mekân spor faaliyetleri üzerindeki etkilerinin ve bireylerin iklim değişikliğine karşı geliştirdikleri uyum stratejilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yaklaşımı kapsamında bütüncül tek durum deseni kullanılarak yapılandırılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Samsun ilinin İlkadım, Atakum, Canik ilçelerinde düzenli olarak sportif amaçlı dış mekân rekreasyon faaliyetlerine katılan bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma evreninin seçiminde kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama yöntemi olarak odak grup görüşmesi tercih edilmiş ve veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler, nitel veri analizi tekniklerinden içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, iklim değişikliğinin bireylerin rekreasyonel dış mekân spor faaliyetlerine katılım sıklığını, tercih edilen zaman dilimlerini ve mekân seçimlerini önemli ölçüde etkilediğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca araştırma rekreasyonel dış mekân spor faaliyetlerinde bulunan bireylerin iklim değişikliğini algılayıp buna göre fiziksel uyum ve direnç geliştirme, ekipman, zamanlama, alternatif mekân seçimi ve faaliyet değiştirme gibi uyum stratejileri geliştirdiklerini ortaya koymaktadır.

The Effects of Climate Change on Outdoor Sports Activities and Climate Change Adaptation Strategies

Öz

This study aims to examine the effects of climate change on recreational outdoor sports activities and the adaptation strategies developed by individuals in response to climate change. The research was structured with a holistic single case design, one of the case study designs in qualitative research. The study group of the research consists of individuals who regularly participate in sportive outdoor recreation activities in İlkadım, Atakum, Canik districts of Samsun province. In the selection of the research population, easily accessible case sampling was used. Focus group interview was preferred as the data collection method and the data were collected through a semi-structured interview form. The data collected in the research were analysed by content analysis method, one of the qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that climate change significantly affects the frequency of individuals' participation in outdoor recreation activities for sports, preferred time periods and spatial choices. In addition, the research reveals that individuals engaged in outdoor recreation activities for sports purposes perceive climate change and develop adaptation strategies such as physical adaptation and resistance development, equipment, timing, alternative venue selection and activity change accordingly.
