Tarla Koşullarında Yetiştirilen Aşılı ve Aşısız Karpuz Çeşitlerinin Besin Elementi Konsantrasyonlarının Belirlenmesi

Öz

Bu çalışma 2018 tarihinde Alata Bahçe Kültürleri
Araştırma Enstitüsü’nde tarla koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın amacı;
Pascal kalemi, Gürdal anacı üzerine ve Crimson Tide kalemi, Nun 9075 anacı
üzerine aşılı ve kendi kökü üzerine aşısız olarak yetiştirilen karpuzun
meyvesindeki besin elementi konsantrasyonlarının araştırılması, aralarındaki
farkların karşılaştırılması ve tespit edilmesidir. Aşısız olanlar kontrol
olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Hasat sonrası karpuz bitkisinin meyve dokularında
bulunan fosfor (P), potasyum (K), kalsiyum (Ca), magnezyum (Mg), bor (B), demir
(Fe), mangan (Mn), bakır (Cu) ve çinko (Zn) konsantrasyonları belirlenmiştir



Araştırma bulguları aşılı
ve aşısız Crimson Tide ve Pascal karpuz çeşitlerinin farklı besin elementi
konsantrasyonlarına sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. Makro element
konsantrasyonlarında aşılı Pascal çeşidi ön plana çıkarken, mikro element
konsantrasyonlarında aşısız Pascal çeşidi öne plana çıkmaktadır. Genel olarak
Pascal çeşidinin Crimson Tide çeşidinden daha fazla besin elementleri
konsantrasyonuna sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Karpuz gibi yoğun gübre
uygulaması yapılan bitkilerde meyvenin besin elementi konsantrasyonunu bilmek
etkin gübreleme açısından önem arz etmektedir.

Nutrient Concentrations of Grafted and Ungrafted Watermelon Varieties Grown in Field Conditions

Öz

This
study was
conducted
in 2018 under field conditions of Alata Horticultural Research Institute.
The study aims to investigate, compare and determine the differences the
nutrient concentrations in watermelon fruits among the ones grafted on Pascal
scion, Gürdal rootstock and the ones grafted Crimson
Tide
scion, Nun 9075 rootstock as well the ones
which were grown as non-grafted on its root. 
Ungrafted
plants were evaluated as controls. Phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca),
magnesium (Mg), sodium (Na), boron (B), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu)
and zinc (Zn) concentrations in the fruiting tissues of the watermelon plant
were
measured after harvest.



According to the research findings, grafted and
ungrafted Crimson Tide and Pascal watermelon varieties demonstrated different
effects on its nutrient concentrations. The grafted Pascal variety was
observed to have more effect on macro element concentrations while the
ungrafted Pascal variety had more effect on micro element concentrations. In
general, it was observed that the Pascal had positive impact on plants nutrient
concentration than the Crimson Tide. As a conclusion, it is important
to identify the nutrient concentration of fruits of plants with
intensive fertilizer application regarding effective fertilization.
