Okul Öncesi Eğitime Giden Çocuklarda Sosyal Yetkinlik ve Davranış Sorunlarını Yordayıcı Faktörler

Öz

Araştırmada Amasya ilinde okul öncesi eğitime devam eden 48-72 aylık çocukların sosyal yetkinlik ve davranış sorunlarının yordayıcı faktörlerinin çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. İlişkisel tarama modelinin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada 359 çocuğa ait verilerle analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında öğretmen demografik bilgi formu, sosyal yetkinlik ve davranış değerlendirme-30 ölçeği, okul öncesi dönem için öz bakım becerileri değerlendirme ölçeği, çocukluk dönemi yürütücü işlevler envanteri, öğrenci öğretmen ilişki ölçeği, Alabama çocuk yetiştirme anketi, 4-6 yaş çocuklarına yönelik öz düzenleme becerileri ölçeği, ailede koruyucu etkenler ölçeği, okul öncesi öz bakım becerileri ölçeği ve ebeveyn-çocuk bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde pearson korelasyon testi, değişim istatistikleri ve çoklu regresyon testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, çocuk demografik özellikleri, öz bakım becerileri, yürütücü işlevler, öz düzenleme becerileri ve öğrenci öğretmen ilişkisi sosyal yetkinliğin anlamlı bir yordayıcısıdır. Ayrıca; yürütücü işlevler, öz düzenleme becerileri ve öğrenci öğretmen ilişkisi hem içselleştirme hem de dışsallaştırma davranış sorunlarının anlamlı bir yordayıcıdır. Aile demografik özellikleri, ebeveyn davranışları, ailede koruyucu etkenler ise hem sosyal yetkinlik için hem de davranış sorunları için anlamlı bir yordayıcı değildir.

The Predictive Factors of Social Competence and Behavior Problems in Preschool Children

Öz

The aim of the study was to determine the predictive factors of social competence and behavioral problems of 48-72 month-old children who continued preschool education in Amasya province. In this study, where the relational screening model was used, analyses were conducted with data belonging to 359 children. The following instruments were utilized in the data collection process: the Teacher Demographic Information Form, the Social Competence and Behaviour Assessment-30 scale, the Preschool Self-Care Skills Assessment scale, the Childhood Executive Functions Inventory, the Student-Teacher Relationship Scale, the Alabama Child Rearing Questionnaire, the Self-Regulation Skills Scale for 4–6-Year-Old Children, the Protective Factors in the Family Scale, the Preschool Self-Care Skills Scale and the Parent-Child Information Form. Pearson correlation test, change statistics and multiple regression test were used in data analysis. According to the research results, child demographic characteristics, self-care skills, executive functions, self-regulation skills and student-teacher relationship are significant predictors of social competence. In addition, executive functions, self-regulation skills and student-teacher relationship are significant predictors of both internalizing and externalizing behavior problems. Family demographic characteristics, parental behaviors, and protective factors in the family are not significant predictors of either social competence or behavioral problems.
