21st Century Learner Skills: An Investigation of Middle School Students Based on Grade Level and Gender
Abstract
In this framework, survey method is used to assess
secondary school students’ level of using 21st century learning skills for
school activities. The population of study was 612 students in 6 elementary
schools in Ankara in 2012-2013 school years. To collect data is used scales
developed by researcher for the purpose of the study. The scales of the
validity and reliability were performed with opinion of experts, focus group
interview and pilot study. The results show that level of students has 21st
century learning skills as active learning, problem solving, learning to learn,
and collaboration and communication skills is so high.
