THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING AND LOGISTICS, INDUSTRIAL SERVICE CENTERS: A CONTENT ANALYSIS APPLICATION

Öz

Logistics centers are nodes within the international transportation network in which different logistics operations are processed by different service providers. Logistics centers, that will effect logistics service quality and costs in a positive way together with their specialized facilities which will develop the country’s dynamic logistics infrastructure, carry strategic importance for Turkey. It is necessary to analyze logistics centers which will take their place in Turkey’s logistics agenda in the forthcoming years from a marketing point of view. This study tries to explore the industrial service buying process of logistics service providers from a logistics center that will be activated in Turkey with the help of content analysis method. The outcomes are supported with interviews so triangulation method is also used. The results show that the industrial service which carries the greatest importance is railways within the logistics centers. Besides this, customs procedures, public services, warehouse, cost, competition are also concepts which require significant attention in terms of industrial service buying process

ENDÜSTRİYEL HİZMET SATIN ALMA SÜRECİ VE LOJİSTİK MERKEZLER: BİR İÇERİK ANALİZİ UYGULAMASI

Öz

Lojistik merkez, ulaştırma ağı içerisinde bulunan ve farklı lojistik faaliyetlerin farklı operatörler ve hizmet sağlayıcılar aracılığıyla gerçekleştirildiği toplama ve dağıtım noktasıdır. Türkiye’nin dinamik lojistik altyapısını destekleyecek, özel ihtisas bölgelerinin üstünlükleriyle lojistik hizmet kalitesini ve maliyetlerini olumlu yönde etkileyecek lojistik merkezler büyük bir önem taşımaktadır. Türkiye’nin önümüzdeki yıllarda gündeminde önemli bir yer edinecek olan lojistik merkezlerin pazarlama yönlü olarak incelenilmesi gerekliliği bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, lojistik hizmet sağlayıcıların Türkiye’de faaliyete geçecek lojistik merkezlerden endüstriyel hizmet satın alma süreçleri içerik analizi yöntemi ile belirlenecektir. Çıkan sonuçlar bire bir görüşmeler yolu ile desteklenerek çeşitleme yöntemi de kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar lojistik merkezlerden satın alınacak hizmetlerde en büyük ağırlığın demiryolu üzerinde yoğunlaştığını; bunun yanı sıra gümrük işlemleri, kamu hizmetleri depo, maliyet, rekabet gibi kavramların da önem taşıdığını göstermektedir.
