Bilgi Toplumu Faktör Analizi: Sosyo-Ekonomik Değişkenler Üzerine Bir İnceleme

Öz

Bilginin stratejik bir rol oynadığı günümüzde sosyal ve ekonomik ilişkiler radikal bir biçimde değişime uğramıştır. Sanayi devriminin getirdiği değişim ve dönüşümlerin bir benzerinin sanayi sonrası bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmelere paralel olarak yaşandığı iddia edilmektedir. Teknolojik devrim olarak adlandırılan bu değişim dinamikleri bir önceki dönemden net bir kopuş getirdiği ve sanayi toplumu yerine bilgi toplumunun aldığı tartışılmaktadır. Bilgi toplumunun kavramsal tanımı üzerinde net bir görüş birliği bulunmamaktadır. Sosyal ve ekonomik ilişkilerdeki değişim veya salt teknolojik gelişmelerin nicel farklılığı, kavramın kullanımında öne çıkabilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bilgi toplumunun sayısal olarak ifade edilebilmesi ve bir takım sosyal-ekonomik parametreler üzerindeki etkisinin tespit edilebilmesi üzerinedir. Bu doğrultuda çeşitli göstergeler üzerinden 110 ülkenin verileri değerlendirilerek faktör skoru oluşturulmakta ve yeni bilgi toplumu değişkeninden yararlanılarak bilgi toplumunun eşitsizlik, sosyal gelişim ve hizmet sektörünün bir fonksiyonu olup olmadığının tespiti gerçekleştirilecektir

Information Society Factor Analysis: A Review on Socio-Economic Variables

Öz

Today, when knowledge plays a strategic role, social and economic relations have changed radically. It is claimed that a similar analogy of the changes and transformations of the industrial revolution is experienced in parallel with the developments in post-industrial information and communication technologies. This change, which is called the technological revolution, has been discussed as a clear break from the previous period and that the information society has taken over the industrial society. There is no clear consensus on the conceptual definition of information society. The change in social and economic relations or the quantitative differentiation of pure technological developments can come to the fore in the use of the concept. The aim of this study is to quantify the information society of interest and to determine the effect on a number of socioeconomic parameters. In this direction, factor scores are calculated by evaluating the data of 110 countries on various indicators and by using the new information society variable, it will be determined whether information society is a function of inequality, social development and service sector
