Abstract
Devriyers which are one of the lyric styles of the literature of mysticism has attracted the pens of the mystic poets, for its relation existence itself, as it was a reflection of “Cycle Theory”. It also attracted the attention of aforementioned poems for its coexistence with the Islamic philosophy and for new concepts that it brings to the creation of men and its reason of existence in the world. While there are many examples of devriyye in the three great Islamic literatures, especially in the Turkish literature, there are some devriyye samples might be also seen in the Persian literature, even though these samples could not be altogether considered as devriye. The Persian poems which could be named as devriye are chiefly composed by poems İbn Yemîn and Feyz¬î-I Hindî and Mevlânâ. This study deals with the eulogy of Sheikh Âzerî-I İsferâyînî’s that named Urûciyye, which might be considered as a devriyye. This work has also other copies that might be considered as a separate work. In this study first the life and the works of the poet will be briefly presented and his text will be introduced. Then contents of the work will be evaluated and compared with the other examples within the Turkish literature. Finally the critical comparison of the text with the separate copies in the Turkish and Iranian libraries and its Turkish translation will be presented.
