maternal and infant deaths in the world. Preeclampsia, which is among the diseases of hypertension
during pregnancy, is an important complication of pregnancy. But with early diagnosis and
proper management of preeclampsia, maternal morbidity and mortality rates can be reduced. In

hospitalized with the diagnosis of preeclampsia in the high-risk pregnancy service. Healthcare
professionals should inform pregnant women about the signs and symptoms of preeclampsia and
emphasize the urgency of contacting the healthcare provider at an existing sign of illness. The case
of preeclampsia was evaluated by using the Nursing Model based on Activities of Living developed
by Roper, Logan and Tierney in order to emphasize the necessity of using a model in the nursing
