It is expected that many things in the world will be changed after global pandemic, COVID-19. Even in a few months after pandemic, it is possible to observe initial signs of this expected change. This study examines possible impact of COVID-19 on disadvantaged groups from social work perspective. While the number of disadvantaged people, who needs special protection and care, is growing both in Turkey and World, we are facing with the risk of an increase in these numbers exponentially after pandemic. In addition to increasing importance and need of social work, different applications during the pandemic from all over the world are examined from social work perspective. Under these circumstances, this study is trying to answer following questions to understand the role of social work in times of pandemic: Could COVID-19 be a turning point in terms of social work discipline and profession? After these global outbreak, could social work profession become more important than it is?, Can social work profession make a difference under the umbrella of social justice?
