Effects of Seed Treatments and Different Sowing Times on Some Agronomic Characters of Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.)

Öz

This study was carried out in the experimental field of the Agricultural Faculty of
Süleyman Demirel University in 2006. The aim of this study, the effects of different sowing times
(March 31, April 16 and May 02, 2006) and seed treatments (control, pure water, 100 ppm GA3, 200
ppm GA3, 300 ppm GA3, 400 ppm GA3) on plant yield and some phonological traits of three chickpea
cultivars (Gökçe, Akçin 91 and İspanyol) were evaluated. According to variance analysis results, ıt
was determined significant differences between sowing times and seed treatments. It was observed
that emergence time was 10.3-19.6 day, emergence rate was % 59.9-76.6, plant height was 33.2-53.3
cm, first nod height was 15.0-38.7 cm plant weight was 10.9-28.1 g and plant seed yield was 5.1-13.6
g. Based on the results, treatments of GA3 and pure water on seed were gave higher plant yield
compared to control treatment.

Tohum Uygulamaları ile Farklı Ekim Zamanlarının Nohut (Cicer arietinum L.)’un Bazı Agronomik Özellikler Üzerine Etkileri

Öz

Bu araştırma, 2006 yılında SDÜ Ziraat Fakültesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Çiftliğinde
yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada üç nohut çeşidinde (Gökçe, Akçin 91 ve İspanyol nohut populasyonu) farklı
ekim zamanları (31 Mart, 16 Nisan ve 02 Mayıs, 2006) ve tohum uygulamalarının (kontrol, saf su,
100 ppm,, 200 ppm, 300 ppm, 400 ppm GA3) bazı agronomik özellikler ile bitkinin verimi üzerine
etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan varyans analizi sonuçlarına göre, çeşitler, ekim
zamanları ve tohum uygulamaları arasında önemli farklılıklar belirlenmiştir. Denemede, çıkış süresi
10.3-19.6 gün, çıkış oranı % 59.9-76.6, bitki boyu 33.2-53.3 cm, ilk bakla yüksekliği 15.0-38.7 cm,
tek bitki ağırlığı 10.9-28.1 g ve bitki tane verimi 5.1-13.6 g arasında değişen değerlerde bulunmuştur.
Sonuç olarak, tohuma GA3 ve saf su uygulamalarının kontrol uygulamasına göre bitki verimini önemli
ölçüde arttırdığı belirlenmiştir.
