Evaluation The Yield and Quality of Some Industrial Tomatoes Produced in Different Sowing and Plantation Times in Konya Ecology

Öz

This study was conducted on the research farm of Agricultural Faculty, Selçuk University during the vegetation period in 1996. AG 2123/14424, Rio Fuego/12412, Urbana/12403, Heinz 2274/14401, H.2274 Super 12/12401, SC 2121/12402, Rio Grande/12411, Rio Grande/14411, Champell 37/14413, Arizona/14406, Arizona/12413, Star Ag2234/14430, Rio Grande, and h.2274 were used, as plant material. Seeds were sowned in germination environment prepared in a glasshouse on 1st of March, 10th of March, 20 of March. According the results no differences between the groups, were found in fruit yield and quality on the bases at times when sowing and planting were done. The highest yield was obtained from H.2274 (Super 12) (8900.4 kg/da) variety. Fruits features obtained from this variety was found better than the others. The lowest fruit yield was obtained from Rio Grande /14411 variety (5740.1 kg/da).
