Efects of Irrigation Water with Different Salt Concentrations, on The Water Consumption and Some Yield Parameters of Tomato

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of irrigation water with different salt concentrations, on the water con-sumption and some yield parameters of tomato. For this purpose, a research was conducted using irrigation water of six different salt concentrations (EC = 500 µmhos/cm control, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 µmhos/cm), applying 75 % and 100 % of water need of plant, selecting 8354 F1 tomato variety, in randomized plots factorial experimental design with three replications under greenhouse conditions in Konya, in 2005 and 2006. At the end of the research, as salinity of the irrigation water was increased, fruit number and weight, so yield decreased in the rate of reaching to 41 %, and diameter became small. It was concluded that decreasing of the amount of irrigation water with high salt content affected negatively the yield and quali-ty parameters and plant growth. At the end of the research, it was found that the seasonal water consumption of tomato was 829.57 mm. Salinity was occurred rapidly at a rate of up to 400 % in soil in some treatment.

Farklı Tuz Konsantrasyonlarına Sahip Sulama Suyu Uygulamalarının Domateste Su Tüketimine ve Bazı Verim Parametrelerine Etkisi

Çalışma, domateste farklı tuz konsantrasyonlarına sahip sulama suyu uygulamalarının meyvede bazı verim parametreleri-ne etkisini görmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Konya’da sera şartlarında 8354 F1 çeşit domates yetiştiriciliğinde altı farklı tuz kon-santrasyonuna sahip sulama suyunun (EC = 500 µmhos/cm kontrol, 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 ve 2500 µmhos/cm) bitki su ihti-yacının % 100ve %75 karşılandığı koşullarda 2 alt konuda 3 tekerrürlü olarak toplam 36 deneme saksısında tesadüf parselleri faktöriyel deneme deseninde 2005 ve 2006 yıllarında iki ayrı dönem olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda sulama su-yunda tuzluluk artışı ile birlikte meyve sayısı ve ağırlığında, dolayısı ile verimde % 41’e varan azalmalar görülmüş ve meyve çapları küçülmüştür. Tuz oranı yüksek sulama suyu kullanımında bitki sulama suyu ihtiyacında kısıtlamaya gidilmesinin, do-mates bitkisinin verimine olumsuz etki yaptığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda domatesin yıllık bitki su tüketimi 829.57 mm olarak bulunmuştur. Toprakta bazı konularda % 400’e varan oranda hızla tuzlulaşma meydana gelmiştir.
