In the research, combined grain seeder (U1 and T1) and pneumatic single double row cross precision seeder (U2 and T2) with different sowing methods were used in chickpea production in dryland and irrigated farming conditions. The trials were carried out at the Application and Research Farm of Selçuk University, Faculty of Agriculture, Konya Province, Türkiye. In the research, traits such as plant height, first pod height, number of pods and grain number per plant, number of grains per pod, thousand grain weight, grain yield per unit area and harvest index were investigated. According to the results, the effects of sowing methods on yield and yield components were found to be significant in terms of number of grains per plant, grain yield and biological yield under irrigated farming conditions, and in terms of number of pods per plant, number of grains per pod, grain yield, biological yield and harvest index under dry farming conditions. Under irrigated farming conditions, the highest grain yield per unit area was 1756 kg ha-1 in the U2 application. Under U1 application, it was 1193 kg ha-1. Under dryland farming conditions, the highest grain yield per unit area was 1150 kg ha-1 in the T2 application. Under T1 application, it was 830 kg ha-1. Based on the results, for chickpea production under irrigated or dryland farming conditions, the cross-sowing method, using a pneumatic precision double-row cross-seeder, can be recommended in the U2 and T2 applications due to its advantages in yield and some yield characteristics.
