Written by Robert Stam, Richard Porton, and Leo Goldsmith, Keywords in Subversive Film/Media Aesthetics offers encyclopedic information that will interest radical media and film theorists. Writers; Inspired by theorists such as Bakhtin, Deleuze, Ranciere, Brecht, and Jameson, they provide an enjoyable and instructive read on radical aesthetics. The book both deals with the strategies of radical films and creates a glossary where we can reach concepts related to the field. According to Stam, Porton and Goldsmith, the approach of the book is pan-artistic, that is, the book also touches on other arts while considering the relationship of cinema with other arts. The authors emphasize that the approach of the book is also pan-mediatic and will benefit from a wide range of media. For this reason, it is possible to see the contribution of the book to the media field and its innovative stance.

Robert Stam, Richard Porton ve Leo Goldsmith tarafından yazılan Yıkıcı Film: Medya Estetiğinde Anahtar Sözcükler radikal medya ve film teorisyenlerini ilgilendirecek ansiklopedik bilgiler sunuyor. Yazarlar; Bakhtin, Deleuze, Ranciere, Brecht ve Jameson gibi teorisyenlerden esinlenerek radikal estetiğe dair keyifli ve öğretici bir okuma sağlıyorlar. Kitap hem radikal filmlerin stratejilerini ele alıyor hem de alanla ilgili kavramlara ulaşabileceğimiz bir sözlük oluşturuyor. Stam, Porton ve Goldsmith’e göre kitabın yaklaşımı pan-sanatsaldır, yani kitap, sinemanın diğer sanatlarla da ilişkisini göz önünde bulundurarak diğer sanatlara da değiniyor.
