Yabancı Turistlerin Müşteki "Mağdur" Olarak Müdahil Oldukları Asayiş Suç Türlerinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Araştırma

The purpose of this research is to determine the types of crimes the foreign tourists involved, in İstanbul, as victims and to investigate whether there is a relationship between the types of crimes and the average income per capita of the countries where foreign tourists came from and the tourists’ regions. The research covers 1,110 foreign tourists those visited Istanbul in 2010 and involved in a crime as a victim. The data set of the reseach is composed of secondary data such as crime statistics, tourist statistics, and the average per capita national income. The chi-square tests (goodness of fit and crosstabs-independence) were used to analyse the data. According to the results of the analyses, there is a statistically significant difference among the types of crimes. In addition, there is a statistically significant relationship between the types of crime and the regions the tourists came from and the tourists’ per capita national income.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, yabancı turistlerin müşteki olarak müdahil olduğu asayiş suç türlerini ortaya koyarak aralarında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Ayrıca müştekilerin müdahil olduğu suç türleri ile müştekilerin geldiği bölgeler arasında ve müştekilerin ülkelerinin kişi başına düşen ortalama milli gelirleri arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı incelenmektedir. Araştırma, 2010 yılında İstanbul’a gelen ve bir asayiş suçundan dolayı müşteki olan 1,110 yabancı turist üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın veri setini suç istatistikleri, turist istatistikleri ve kişi başına düşen ortalama milli gelir gibi ikincil veriler oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde ki-kare uygunluk ve kikare bağımsızlık testleri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarından elde edilen bulgulara göre yabancı turistlerin, müşteki olarak müdahil olduğu asayiş suç türleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark vardır. Ayrıca, müdahil olunan suç türü ile turistlerin geldiği bölge ve turistlerin geldiği ülkelerin kişi başına ortalama milli gelirleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bul unmaktadır.
