Öz
Ekonomik karar verme modellerini geliştirmek ve genişletmek için insan davranışı hakkındaki psikolojik bilgiyi birleştiren davranışsal ekonomi, eğitime farklı bakış açıları sunan bir alan olarak eğitim araştırmalarına farklı bir yön sunmaktadır. İnsanların rasyonel veya normatif karar verme modellerini takip edemeyeceğini ve yanılgıların karar sonuçları üzerinde olumsuz bir etkisi olabileceği bilinmektedir. Davranışsal ekonomi, insanların sürekli olarak davranışsal yanılgılara düşme nedenlerini ve bu yanılgılar aracılığıyla belirli sonuçlara yöneldiklerini vurgulamaktadır. Bu yanılgıların bilinmesi öğrencilerin karar alma süreçlerinde karşılaştıkları zorlukları anlamak açısından oldukça önemlidir. Böylece öğrencilerin karar verme süreçleri davranışsal iktisadın sunmuş olduğu farklı perspektiften açıklanmakta ve değerlendirilmektedir. İnsan davranışını ve onların bilgiyi kullanma tutumlarını etkileyen bilişsel yanılgılar bireylerin birçok kararını etkileyebilmektedir. Bu çalışma öğrenci seçimlerini, davranışlarını ve yanılgıları, literatürde öğrenci seçimini en çok etkileyen ve eğitim araştırmalarının davranışsal boyutunu açıklayan yanılgılardan olan kayıptan kaçınma, statükoyu koruma ve batık maliyet yanılgısı aracılığıyla tanımlamayı ve değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
