The aim of this study is to examine the effect of enjoying physical activities on sport life satisfaction and to reveal the mediating role of passion in sport on this relationship. The study was designed using the relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, and 361 sport sciences faculty students (241 male, 120 female) participated in the study. Personal Information Form, Enjoyment of Physical Activities Scale (PACES), Satisfaction with Sportive Life Scale (SLSS) and Passion for Sport Scale (PSS) were used as data collection tools. Before analyzing the data, extreme value, missing data analyses, normality tests and descriptive analyses were performed. In order to test the validity of the measurement model, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was conducted through AMOS 21 program and the goodness of fit values of the scales were checked. Pearson correlation test and regression analysis based on the Bootstrap method were applied to test the hypotheses. In addition, the validity of the models was tested using SPSS 25 software and Process Macro developed by Hayes (2022). The research findings revealed that there are positive and significant relationships between Enjoyment of Physical Activities (PACE) and Satisfaction with Sporting Life (SLS), between PACE and Passion for Sport (PS), and between PS and SLS (Hypothesis I). In the regression analysis conducted with the Bootstrap method, it was found that PACES had a significant and strong effect on PS (b = .412, p < .001). In addition, with the addition of sport passion as a mediator variable in the model, it was determined that PACE significantly predicts SLS (b = .101, p < .001) and PS has a strong effect on SLS (b = .581, p < .001). These results suggest that passion in sport significantly strengthens the relationship between enjoyment of physical activities and sport life satisfaction. Finally, the indirect effect of enjoying physical activities on sport life satisfaction was found to be significant through passion in sport (b = .239, p < .001) (Hypothesis II). These findings support that passion in sport plays an important role as a mediating variable and strengthens the effect of enjoying physical activities in increasing sport life satisfaction. As a result of the study, it was found that the enjoyment of physical activities, together with passion in sport, significantly and strongly increased sport life satisfaction of sport sciences faculty students. This finding shows that participation in physical activities alone is not sufficient to increase sport life satisfaction, but also that individuals' having a strong passion for sports positively affects life satisfaction. Passion for sport increases individuals' commitment to sport, motivation and intrinsic satisfaction in this field, reinforces the enjoyment of physical activities and improves the quality of sporting life. Therefore, it is thought that not only encouraging physical activities but also strengthening individuals' emotional and psychological attachment to sports is of critical importance for increasing sport life satisfaction.
