In this research, the concept of nûr-ı Muhammedi, also known as Hakîkat-ı Muhammediyye, has been examined. The aim of the study is to reveal the previously unstudied aspects of the nûr-ı Muhammedî thought in the interpretations of Tüsterî, Baklî and Bursevî. Sahl bin Abdullah al-Tustari (d.283/896), who lived in the early periods of Sufism, is considered to be the one of the first sufis who expressed the concept of Nur al-Muhammadi. Later, the traces of this thought were seen in Sufi Ruzbihan Baqli (d.606/1209) and Ismail Haqqi Bursevi (d.1137/1725). In the study, the nature of the concept in question, its historical adventure, its defenders and the verses on which it is based are discussed within the framework of the interpretations of Tüsterî, Baklî and Bursevî. While dealing with the subject, primarily the verses that Tustari refer to the Nur al-Muhammadi thought, and their interpretations are taken as the basis. Afterward, a comparison was made by looking at the interpretation of these verses from the commentary of Baqli and Bursevi. As a result of this, it has been seen that the theory of Nur al-Muhammadi exists in all three authors. However, it has been observed that there are differences between them in terms of the verses on which they are based. On the other hand, in all three of them, the idea that the Prophet had an inner dimension as well as an external dimension is clearly seen. It can be said that this thought is the main reason why some verses are interpreted in connection with the light of Muhammad.
