AFRİKA'DA İNSAN HAKLARI: AFRİKA'DA İNSAN HAKLARININ KORUNMASINA YÖNELİK SİYASİ MANZARA VE KURUMSAL YAPILAR

Öz

Afrika'da insan haklarının korunmasına yönelik siyasi manzara ve kurumsal yapıları zaman içinde önemli ölçüde gelişmiştir. Afrika'daki insan hakları kavramı, evrensel ilkelerin ve yerli değerlerin bir karışımını kapsamaktadır. Afrika Birliği Örgütü başlangıçta insan haklarının korunması için zemin hazırlamış ve bu durum halefi Afrika Birliği tarafından daha da geliştirilmiştir. İnsan hakları, Afrika Ekonomik Topluluğu ve alt bölgesel kuruluşlar gibi Bölgesel Ekonomik Toplulukların görevlerinin de ayrılmaz bir parçasıdır. Bu Bölgesel Ekonomik Topluluklar, daha geniş Afrika insan hakları sistemi içinde faaliyet göstermekte ve çeşitli mekanizmalar aracılığıyla hakları teşvik etmekte ve korumaktadır. Afrika'nın Kalkınması için Yeni Ortaklık ve Afrika Akran Değerlendirme Mekanizması da bu mimaride çok önemli roller oynamakta ve insan haklarının korunmasının temel direkleri olarak yönetişim ve sosyoekonomik kalkınmaya odaklanmaktadır. Toplu olarak, bu kurumlar ve çerçeveler, kıta genelinde insan haklarını ilerletmeyi amaçlayan kapsamlı bir sistem oluşturur.
