Turkey has entered into a structural change/transformation period in the economic sense since 1980s. In this period, the natural gas has been accepted as the basic input of energy consumption. Today, the consumption of natural gas is increasing in many industries. While the importance of energy for the development is widely acknowledged, making estimations about the future demand for the natural gas become essential for the stable economic development. In this study, it has been aimed to estimate the demand for natural gas in the sense of reliable and healthy supply of the energy in the near future in Konya, which has promising potential for development in the region. In the analyses made accordingly, it is estimated that household natural gas demand will fluctuate among months and will pose seasonality. And for the analyses made regarding the manufacturing industry, the consumption will enter into increasing trend within the years.

SEKTÖREL AÇIDAN ENERJİNİN ARTAN ÖNEMİ: KONYA İLİ İÇİN BİR DOĞALGAZ TALEP TAHMİNİ DENEMESİ

Öz

Türkiye’de 1980’li yıllardan itibaren iktisadi anlamda yapısal bir değişim/dönüşüm sürecine girilmiştir. Bu süreçte enerji kullanımı açısından doğalgaz temel girdi olarak kabul edilmiştir. Günümüzde birçok sektörde doğalgazını tüketimi sürekli olarak artmaktadır. Ekonomik gelişme açısından enerjinin önemi herkes tarafından kabul edildiğine göre, doğalgaz talebi konusunda geleceğe yönelik öngörülürde bulunulması, istikrarlı bir ekonomik gelişme açısından önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada bölgesel açıdan önemli bir gelişme potansiyeline sahip olan Konya’da, gelecek dönemlerde enerjinin güvenilir ve sağlıklı bir şekilde tedarik edilebilmesi açısından doğalgaz talebine ilişkin öngörülerde bulunulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda yapılan analizlerde hanehalkı doğal gaz talebinin aylar itibari ile dalgalanmalar ve mevsimsellik göstereceği beklenmektedir. Sanayi sektörü için yapılan analizlerde ise tüketimin yıllar itibari ile bir artış trendine gireceği öngörülmektedir.
