Öz

Developments in the world economy since 1970s caused many enterprises to give up seeking to achieve economies of scale. Small and medium enterprises’ achievement to overcome the 1973/1974 oil crises with less costs, demand narrowness and resistance to stagnation directed attention of the world to these enterprises. Economic, political and social potentials of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) made them a major subject of the economic agenda in the 1980s and 1990s. SMEs are important dynamics of employment and production in Turkey as in other countries. However, problems they face regarding finance, management, marketing, human resources and quality issues diminish SMEs’ contribution to the national economy. Therefore, adequate contribution is needed so that SMEs can solve their problems. This study aims at dealing with financial problems of SMEs, which lies in the centre of their major problems as all of studies on SMEs indicate, and contributing to their development by giving some recommendations to solve these problems.

BİR STRATEJİK YÖNETİM BOYUTU OLARAK KOBİ’LERİN FİNANSAL ANALİZİ

Öz

Dünya ekonomisinde 1970’li yıllarda yaşanan gelişmeler, pek çok işletmenin üretimde ölçek ekonomilerinden vazgeçerek küçük işletmeler şeklinde yapılanmalarına yol açtı. Küçük ve orta boy işletmelerin 1973/1974 Petrol Krizi’nden fazla etkilenmemeleri, talep daralmaları ve durgunluk karşısındaki dayanıklılıkları, dünyanın dikkatini bu işletmelerin üzerine yöneltti. Ekonomik, politik ve sosyal potansiyelleri, küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmeleri 1980’li ve 1990’lı yıllarda gündemin temel konusu haline getirdi. Diğer ülkelerde olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de KOBİ’ler, istihdam ve üretimin önemli dinamikleridir. Ancak karşı karşıya kaldıkları finansal, yönetsel, pazarlama, insan kaynakları ve kalite sorunları, bu işletmelerin ülke ekonomisine yaptığı katkıları azaltmaktadır. Bu nedenle KOBİ’lerin mevcut sorunlarının çözülmesinde çok yönlü katkı gerekmektedir. Bu sorumluluk anlayışıyla KOBİ’lerin finansal sorunlarını ele almak ve çözüm önerilerinde bulunarak gelişmelerine katkı sağlamak, çalışmada temel amaçtır.
