Theaitetos Diyalogunda Platon ve Progatoras Arasındaki İlişkiye Dair Bir Değerlendirme

Öz

Epistemoloji alanında bilginin iki temel düşünce üzerinden günümüze kadar geldiği bilinen bir husustur. Bu düşüncelerden ilkini ve en önemlisini oluşturan Platon felsefesi, mutlakçı kanadı temsil edenken Protagoras felsefesi rölativist bir yapıyı dillendirir. Her iki yapı arasındaki karşılaştırmanın birbirinden bağımsız kaynaklardan hareketle yapılamaması, Protagoras felsefesinin açık bir şekilde anlaşılmasını engellemektedir. Çünkü bu felsefenin anlaşılması, muhalif kanatta yer alan Platon’un eserlerinden hareketle gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu durum, Platon’un hangi Protagoras’ı eserlerinde işlediği sorusunu gündeme getirir. Bu sorunun yanlış anlama veya yanlış aktarma şeklinde iki temel problem üzerinden işlenmesi her iki düşüncenin hem Platon’un eserlerinde hem de söz konusu aktarımların dışında nasıl bir çerçeveye sahip olduğunu tartışmaya açar. Bu çalışmamızın amacı da Platon’un Theaetetus diyalogunda ele aldığı Protagoras felsefesinin tarihsel açıdan gerçek Protagoras’ın düşüncelerine karşılık gelip gelmediğini incelemek ve her iki filozofun ayrıştığı noktaları ön plana çıkarmaktır. Bu noktada temel ayrımın bilgi ve algı kavramları üzerinden ortaya çıktığı ve bu durumun mutlakçı ve rölativist yaklaşımlarla doğrudan ilişkili olduğu belirtilmelidir.

An Assessment of the Relationship between Plato and Progatoras in the Theaitetos Dialogue

Öz

In the field of epistemology, knowledge is known to come to the present day with two basic ideas. Plato's philosophy, which represents the first and the most important, represents the absolutist wing and the Protagoras philosophy expresses a relativistic structure. Protagoras philosophy is not clearly understood because the comparison between the two structures cannot be made from independent sources. Because the understanding of this philosophy is carried out from the works of Plato, which is on the opposing wing. This raises the question of which Protagoras were handled in Plato's works. This problem is handled over two basic problems: misunderstanding or misrepresentation. These problems cover what kind of a framework both ideas have in both Plato's works and other sources.The aim of this study is to critically evaluate the philosophy of Protagoras in Plato's Theaetetus dialogue. At this point, it should be noted that the basic distinction emerges over the concepts of knowledge and perception, and this situation is directly related to absolutist and relativist approaches.
