AMAÇ VE KAPSAM

PURPOSE AND COVERAGE

Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü Dergisi, Haziran ve Aralık aylarında olmak üzere yılda iki sayı olarak yayımlanır. Derginin yazım dili Türkçe ve İngilizce’dir. Uluslararası hakemli bir dergidir.

Journal of Central Research Institute for Field Crops is published twice a year, in June and December. The articles of the magazine are published in Turkish and English. It is a peer reviewed, internationally eminent journal.

Dergide, tarla bitkileri (yetiştirme teknikleri, üretimi, fizyolojisi, ıslahı ve genetiği, muhafazası, güvenliği, bitki koruma, tarım ekonomisi), gıda - gıda bilimi, teknolojisi, bitki biyoteknolojisi, bitki genetik kaynakları ve biyolojik çeşitlilik, coğrafi bilgi sistemleri ve uzaktan algılama ile ilgili konularda orijinal araştırmalara ve derlemelere yer verilir.

The articles published in this journal are original research papers and reviews related to agricultural sciences regarding field crops (cropping techniques, production, physiology, breeding and genetics, food science and technology, conservation, safety, protection, and economics), biotechnology, genetic resources and biodiversity of plants, geographic information systems and remote sensing techniques.

Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü Dergisi’nin hedef kitlesi tarla bitkileri araştırmaları alanlarında çalışan veya bu alanlara ilgi duyan araştırmacı ve akademisyenlerdir.

Journal of Central Research Institute for Field Crops is published for researchers and academicians who work in or are interested in the topics of research on field crops.

Derginin editöryel ve yayın süreçleri International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE) ve National Information Standards Organization (NISO) organizasyonlarının kılavuzlarına uygun olarak biçimlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca bu süreçler, Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in

Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice) ilkelerine uygun olarak yürütülmektedir. İçerik, yayın sürecinin tamamlanmasını takiben derginin internet sayfasında ücretsiz erişime açık “Open Access” hale getirilir.

The editorial and publication processes of the journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Council of Science Editors (CSE), Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), European Association of Science Editors (EASE), and National Information Standards Organization (NISO). The journal is in conformity with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (doaj.org/bestpractice). Following the completion of the publishing process, the content is made "Open Access" and free of charge on the internet page of the magazine.

Tarla Bitkileri Merkez Araştırma Enstitüsü Dergisi, TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM TR dizin, Scientific Indexing Services, Science Library Index, Academic Resource Index ve CrossRef veri tabanlarında taranmaktadır.

The content of the Journal of Central Research Institute for Field Crops is covered by the databases of TÜBİTAKULAKBİM TR index, Scientific Indexing Services, Science Library Index, Academic Resource Index and CrossRef.

Dergiye gönderilen makaleler için telif hakkı ödenmez ve telif hakkı devir formu makaleyle birlikte gönderilmelidir. Makaleler, derginin yazım kurallarına uygun olmalıdır. Yazıların daha önce başka bir elektronik ya da basılı dergide, kitapta veya farklı bir mecrada sunulmamış ya da yayınlanmamış olması gerekir. Yayımlanmış veya sunulmuş ise yeri ve tarihi belirtilmelidir. Makaleler öncelikle özgünlük ve bilimsel kalite bakımından değerlendirilir.

No copyright will be paid for the articles sent to the journal, and the copyright transfer form must be sent with the article. The articles must conform to the editorial rules of the magazine. The manuscripts must be unpublished previously in another electronic or printed journal, in a book or any other media. If published or presented anywhere else, the place and date should be specified. The articles are primarily evaluated in terms of originality and scientific quality.

Makalelerin kabulü ve yayımlanmasına dergi yayın kurulu tarafından karar verilir. Dergi yayın kurulu, makaleleri hakemlere göndermeden iade etme hakkına sahiptir. Dergi Yayın Kurulu, dergiye gelen makalenin konusu ile ilgili en az iki hakemin görüşünü aldıktan sonra makalenin yayımlanıp yayımlanmayacağına karar verir. İki hakem görüşü farklı olduğu takdirde, üçüncü bir hakemin görüşü alınır.

Acceptance and publication of the articles are decided by the editorial board of the journal. The editorial board has the right to reject an article without sending them to the referees. The Journal Editorial Board decides whether or not the article will be published after having received the views of at least two referees concerning the subject of the article. If the opinions of these two are different, a third referee is consulted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Bütün makalelerin benzerlik tespit denetimi iThenticate yazılımı aracılığıyla yapılmaktadır. Yayın Kurulu, dergimize gönderilen çalışmalar hakkındaki intihal, atıf manipülasyonu ve veri sahteciliği iddia ve şüpheleri karşısında COPE kurallarına uygun olarak hareket edecektir.

All submissions are screened by a similarity detection software (iThenticate by CrossCheck). In the event of alleged or suspected research misconduct, e.g., plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification/fabrication, the Editorial Board will follow and act in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Yazar olarak listelenen herkesin ICMJE (www.icmje.org) tarafından önerilen yazarlık kriterlerini karşılaması gerekmektedir. ICMJE, yazarların aşağıdaki dört kriteri karşılamasını önermektedir:

1. Çalışmanın konseptine/tasarımına; ya da çalışma için verilerin toplanmasına, analiz edilmesine ve yorumlanmasına önemli katkı sağlamış olmak,

2. Yazı taslağını hazırlamış ya da önemli fikirsel içeriğin eleştirel incelemelerini yapmış olmak,

3. Yazının yayından önceki son halini gözden geçirmiş ve onaylamış olmak,

4. Çalışmanın herhangi bir bölümünün geçerliliği ve doğruluğuna ilişkin soruların uygun şekilde soruşturulduğunun ve çözümlendiğinin garantisini vermek amacıyla çalışmanın her yönünden sorumlu olmayı kabul etmek.

Each individual listed as an author should fulfill the authorship criteria recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE - www.icmje.org). The ICMJE recommends that authorship be based on the following 4 criteria:

1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND

2. Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND

3. Final approval of the version to be published; AND

4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Yayımlanmak üzere gönderilen yazıların araştırma ve yayın etiğine uygun olmaları gereklidir. Yazarlar, basılı ya da elektronik formatta kullandıkları yazı ve görsellerin özgün olduğunu kabul ederler. Bu konulardaki yasal, mali ve cezai sorumluluk bütünüyle yazarlara aittir.

The manuscripts sent for publication must be in accordance with the research and publication ethics. The authors acknowledge that the texts and images they use in printed or electronic format are original. The legal, financial and criminal liability in these matters is entirely up to the authors.

Yazar, makalenin ne türde bir (araştırma, derleme vb.) eser olduğunu belirtmelidir. Araştırma makalesinde Doktora veya Yüksek Lisans tezinin tamamı ya da bir kısmı verilecekse, başvuru sırasında bu durum mutlaka belirtilmelidir. Sonuçlarının üzerinden 10 yıldan fazla süre geçmiş araştırmalar yayımlanmaz. Yayımlanmasına karar verilen makaleler üzerinde ekleme ve/veya çıkarma yapılamaz. Yayımlanan makalelere telif ücreti ödenmez.

The author should indicate what type of work the article is (research, compilation, etc.). If all or part of a doctoral or master's thesis is given in the research article, this must be indicated at the time of application. Researches over 10 years out of results are not published. Additions and/or deletions can not be made on the articles accepted for publication. No royalties are paid to the author(s) for the published articles.

KAPAK SAYFASI

COVER PAGE

Makalenin ana metin kısmından ayrı olarak bir kapak sayfası (title page) oluşturulmalı ve bu sayfa başvuru sırasında ek dosya (supplementary file) olarak sisteme yüklenmelidir. Kapak sayfasında yer alan tüm bilgiler (yazarların çalıştıkları kurum adresleri dahil) Türkçe ve İngilizce olarak yazılmalıdır. Kapak sayfasında; makalenin başlığı, açık haliyle tüm yazar adları, kurumları, eğitim dereceleri, yazar ORCID numaraları ve varsa teşekkür yer almalıdır. Yine bu sayfada yazışmalardan sorumlu yazarın adı, adresi, telefonu (cep tel), faks ve e-posta adresi mutlaka bulunmalıdır. Yazarların makale gönderimi sırasında telif hakları sözleşmesini doldurmaları gerekmektedir.

A cover page (title page) must be created separately from the main text, and must be uploaded as a supplementary file at the time of submission. All information on the cover page (including the addresses of the institutions where the authors work) must be written in both Turkish and English. On the cover page; the title of the article should clearly include all author names, institutions, educational grades, author ORCID numbers, and any acknowledgment if exists. The name, address, telephone (mobile phone), fax and e-mail address of the author responsible for correspondence must also be included. Authors are required to fill in the copyright agreement during article submission.

Hakem değerlendirilmesi yapılmak üzere sisteme yüklenen makale ana metni kör olmalıdır, makale başlığı ile başlamalı ve üzerinde yazar(lar)ın ad ve adres(ler)i bulunmamalıdır.

The main text of the article uploaded to the system for the evaluation of the referee must be blinded, i.e. must start with the title of the article but should not contain the author(s) name(s) and address(es).

Makale, A4 sayfalarında sağ-sol ve alt-üst kenar boşlukları 3 cm olacak şekilde, 10 punto Arial yazı karakteri kullanılarak “Microsoft Word” programında yazılmalıdır. Paragraflar 0,5 cm içeriden başlamalıdır. Makalenin her sayfası ve satırlar numaralandırılmalıdır.

The article should be written on A4 page format in the "Microsoft Word" program using 10 point Arial font, with right-left and bottom-top margins of 3 cm. Paragraphs should start with a first line indent of 0.5 cm. Every page and every line should be numbered.

Makale; Türkçe Başlık, Türkçe Öz, Anahtar Kelimeler, İngilizce Başlık, Abstract, Keywords, Giriş, Materyal ve Yöntem, Bulgular ve Tartışma, Sonuçlar, Kısaltmalar ve/veya Semboller (varsa), Kaynaklar, Şekiller (fotoğraf, çizim, diyagram, grafik, harita v.b.) ve Çizelgelerden oluşmalıdır. Şekiller ve Çizelgeler literatür listesinden sonra verilmelidir. Bölüm başlıkları koyu yazılmalıdır. Öz ve Abstract bölümleri ve tüm metin tek sütun halinde hazırlanmalı, şekil, çizelge ve kaynakça dahil 15 sayfayı geçmemelidir.

The text should contain the following sections: Title, Summary or Abstract, and Keywords (in both languages),

Introduction, Material and Methods, Findings and Discussion, Conclusions, Abbreviations and/or Symbols (if any), References, Figures (photographs, drawings, diagrams, graphics, maps, etc.) and Tables. Figures and Tables should be given after the Reference list. Section titles should be written in bold. The Summary or Abstract sections and the entire text must be prepared in single column, and must not exceed 15 pages, including figures, tables and bibliography.

Başlık kısa ve açıklayıcı olmalı, kısaltmalar içermemelidir. Koyu ve 13 punto ile ilk harfleri büyük olacak şekilde yazılmalıdır. Başlıkta geçecek latince tür isimlerinde cins isminin ilk harfi büyük, tür ismi küçük ve italik olarak yazılmalıdır.

The title should be short and descriptive, without abbreviations, written in 13 pt “title case” and bold characters. The first letter of a genus name should be written in majuscule, the species name in minuscule and italic.

Metin içerisindeki ana başlıklar (Giriş, Materyal ve Yöntem, Bulgular ve Tartışma, Sonuçlar vb.) kelimelerin ilk harfi büyük olacak şekilde, koyu ve 12 punto büyüklüğünde yazılmalıdır. Alt başlıklar ise sadece başlığın ilk harfi büyük, 10 punto, italik ve koyu olmaksızın yazılmalıdır.

Main headers in the text (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Findings and Discussion, Conclusions, etc.) should be written in bold and 12 pt size, and in “title case”. Sub headers should be written in 10 pt size, italics and not bold, only with the first letter in majuscule.

Özet/Öz

Summary/Abstract

En az 300 kelime olmalı; çalışmanın amacını, izlenilen yöntemi ve araştırma sonucunu içerecek şekilde 9 punto, düz ve tek sütun olarak hazırlanmalıdır.

Must be at least 300 words; should be prepared in 9 point, straight and single column; should include the purpose of the study, the method followed, and the results of the study.

Anahtar Kelimeler, Öz ve Abstract’ın hemen altında, çalışmayı en iyi tanımlayacak en fazla altı kavram belirtici kelime ve kelime gruplarından oluşmalıdır.

Key words, just below the Summary/Abstract, should consist of at most 6 conceptual words and phrases that best describe the work.

Şekil ve Çizelgeler (Tablolar)

Figures and Schedules (Tables)

Şekil, grafik, fotoğraf ve benzerleri “Şekil”, sayısal değerler ise “Çizelge” olarak belirtilmeli ve metin içerisinde sayfanın alt veya üst bölümüne yerleştirilmelidir. Çizelgelerin boyutu en fazla 16 x 20 cm olmalı, metin içerisinde ardışık numaralandırılmalıdır.

Figures, graphics, photographs and the like should be indicated as "Figure", numerical values as "Table" and placed in the upper or lower part of the text page. The tables should be no more than 16 x 20 cm in size, and consecutively numbered in the text.

Çizelge içerikleri en az 8 punto olmalı ve ondalıklı rakamlarda nokta “.” kullanılmalıdır. Çizelge başlıkları İngilizce ve Türkçe (mutlaka her iki dilde) olarak çizelgenin üstünde, şekil başlıkları ise şeklin altında yer almalı ve en az 9 punto ile normal cümle düzeninde yazılmalıdır.

The table contents must be at least 8 points and the dot "." should be used in decimal numbers. The table headings should be written above the table, the figure headings should be under the figure, and both written with at least 9 pt size characters. The headings should be in English and Turkish (absolutely in both languages), and in normal sentence format. Şekil, grafik, fotoğraf ve benzerleri ile ilgili verilen alt bilgiler en az 7 punto ile normal tümce düzeninde İngilizce ve Türkçe (mutlaka her iki dilde) yazılmalıdır. Çizelge ve şekillerin başlıkları, makale dili Türkçe ise Türkçe ve başlığın hemen altına İngilizce italik olarak, makale dili İngilizce ise İngilizce ve başlığın hemen altına Türkçe italik olarak yazılmalıdır (Çizelge örnekleri için dergi web sayfasındaki makaleler incelenebilir).

The sub information and the like given about figures, graphics, photographs should be written in English and Turkish (absolutely on both sides) in normal sentence format with a minimum of 7 pt size. The heading of a table or figure should be written in Turkish if the article is in Turkish and in italic in English just below the Turkish headline; if the article is in English it should be written in English, and in italic in Turkish, just below the English heading (You can review the articles on the journal web page for sample charts).

Şekil, grafik, fotoğraf ve benzerleri en az 10 x 10 cm boyutunda 300 dpi çözünürlüğünde ‘jpg, pdf veya tiff’ formatında ve özgün dosya içine yerleştirilmiş olmalıdır. Şekillerin metinde yer aldığı sıralamaya göre atıfları yapılmalı ve şekil başlıkları metin içinde numaralı olarak verilmelidir.

Figures, graphics, photographs and the like should be embedded in the original file in 'jpg, pdf or tiff' format with a resolution of at least 10 x 10 cm at 300 dpi. Figures should be cited according to the order in which they appear in the text, and figure titles should be numbered in the text, as well.

Kısaltmalar ve/veya Semboller Abbreviations and/or Symbols

Eğer kullanılmaları zorunlu ise, kısaltma ve semboller metin içinde ilk kez kullanıldığı yerde açıklanmalıdır.

Uluslararası geçerliliği olan ve yerleşik kısaltmalar tercih edilmelidir. Birimler, Uluslararası Birimler Sistemi (SI: International System of Units)’e göre verilmelidir.

If their use is necessary, abbreviations and symbols should be explained where they are used in the text for the first time. Internationally accepted and commonly used abbreviations should be preferred. The units should be given according to the International System of Units (SI).

REFERENCES

Makalede yapılan atıflar ve kaynakların “Kaynaklar” kısmında verilmesinden, yanlış atıf ve kaynak gösteriminden yazar(lar) sorumludur. Makale içerisinde yapılan tüm atıflar ve kaynaklar, yazar(lar)ın soyad(lar)ı esas alınarak, aşağıdaki örneklere uygun biçimde alfabetik sıra ile ve kaynak gösterilen makalenin yazıldığı orijinal dilde verilmelidir. Makalede atıf yapılan dergi /dergilerin isimleri kısaltma yapılmadan tam adı ile yazılmalıdır. Yararlanılan kaynaklar, makalenin en sonunda Kaynaklar başlığı altında 9 punto ve tek sütun halinde verilmelidir. Kaynaklar kısmında 1 cm asılı girinti olmalıdır. Araştırma makalesindeki kaynak sayısı yirminin, derleme makalelerdeki kaynak sayısı ise kırkın altında olmamalıdır.

The author(s) are responsible for the references made to the article in the "References" section, and misrepresentations or incorrect citations. The bibliography at the end of the manuscript should be listed in alphabetical order, based on the author(s) surname(s), and in the original language of the cited article, as in the following examples. Names of journals/magazines cited in the article should be written in full name without abbreviation. The bibliography at the end of the article should be given under the heading References, in a single column with 9 pt size. Each item of the list should have a 1 cm hanging indent. The number of references in a research article should not be less than twenty, and not less than forty in a review article.

Referans kısmında da metinde de, kaynak yılının yanında küçük harf (a, b, c) kullanılmalıdır.

Referanslar önce alfabetik ve sonrasında gerekli durumlarda kronolojik olarak sıralanmalıdır. Aynı yazar ya da yazarların aynı sene içinde birden fazla kaynağı metinde kullanılmışsa metin sonunda yılın yanında küçük harfle (2017a, 2017b, 2017c) birlikte verilmelidir. Kaynaklar APA 6th kaynak gösterme kılavuzundaki gibi olmalıdır. References should be sorted first alphabetically, and then chronologically when necessary. If the same author or authors are cited in more than one source in the same year, the text must be accompanied by a lowercase letter (2017a, 2017b, 2017c) at the end of the year. Citations should be as shown in the APA 6th reference guide.
