Etki değerlendirme ve kırsal konulu akademik çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, etki değerlendirme ve kırsal kalkınma konularında yapılmış akademik araştırmaları bibliyometrik yöntemlerle analiz ederek, bu alanlardaki yayın eğilimlerini, öne çıkan temaları, işbirliği ağlarını ve araştırma boşluklarını ortaya koymaktır.
Tasarım/Metodoloji/Yaklaşım: Bu çalışmada 01.10.2025 tarihinde Web of Science (WoS) -Core Collection veri tabanında “impact* evaluation*” AND “rural*” (etki değerlendirme ve kırsal) anahtar kelimelerini birlikte içeren bir tarama yapılmıştır. 581 adet sonuç elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veri setinin analizinde betimsel analiz ile bibliyometrik analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bibliyometrik analiz için VOSviewer 1.6.20 paket programı, betimsel içerik analizi için ise WoS veri tabanında bulunan Analyze Results menüsünden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada ortak-yazar analizi, ortak-kelime analizi ve atıf analizi kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Bibliyometrik analiz sonuçlarına göre en üretken, kaliteli olarak nitelendirilebilecek yüksek atıf sayısına sahip, iletişim ve etkileşim ağ oranı yüksek olan çalışmaların ABD, İngiltere, Çin gibi ülkelerde yapıldığı belirlenmiştir. Bu konuları içeren çalışmaların beklendiği üzere kırsal kalkınma, kalkınma ekonomisinde yoğunlaşırken, sağlık ekonomisi gibi alanlarda da etki değerlendirme metodolojisinin kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir.
Özgünlük Değer: Bu çalışma, etki değerlendirme ve kırsal kalkınma konularını birlikte ele alarak bibliyometrik açıdan inceleyen ilk araştırmalardan biridir. Çalışma, literatürdeki yayınların gelişim dinamiklerini, öne çıkan araştırma temalarını ve işbirliği ağlarını bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla ortaya koyarak, bu alanda gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalara yön verecek özgün bulgular sunmaktadır. Ayrıca, etki değerlendirme yöntemlerinin kırsal kalkınma bağlamında nasıl konumlandığını sistematik bir biçimde analiz etmesi, çalışmayı hem akademik hem de uygulamalı politika geliştirme açısından değerli kılmaktadır.

Bibliometric analysis of academic studies on ımpact evaluation and rural ıssues

Öz

Purpose: The aim of this study is to analyze academic research on impact assessment and rural development through bibliometric methods, and to reveal publication trends, prominent themes, collaboration networks, and research gaps in these fields.
Design/Methodology/Approach: In this study, a search was performed on 01.10.2025 in the Web of Science (WoS) -Core Collection database, including the keywords “impact* evaluation*” AND “rural*”. The study yielded a total of 581 results. The analysis of the obtained data set was conducted utilizing both descriptive analysis and bibliometric analysis methods. The VOSviewer 1.6.20 package program was utilized for bibliometric analysis, while the Analyze Results menu in the WoS database was employed for descriptive content analysis. The present study used a range of analytical techniques, including co-author analysis, co-word analysis, and citation analysis.
Findings: The bibliometric analysis revealed that the most productive and impactful studies, distinguished by high citation counts and extensive communication and interaction networks, as expected, were primarily conducted in nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and China. These studies were largely centered on rural development and development economics, with impact evaluation methodologies being employed in disciplines like health economics.
Originality/Value: This study is among the first to examine the topics of impact assessment and rural development together from a bibliometric perspective. It provides unique insights into the developmental dynamics of the literature, the prominent research themes, and collaboration networks, offering guidance for future studies in this field. Furthermore, by systematically analyzing how impact assessment methods are positioned within the context of rural development, the study contributes valuable knowledge both for academic research and for practical policy-making.
