MANYAS GÖLÜ'NÜN ÇEVRESEL DEĞERLEMESİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz

Manyas Gölü'ndeki çevresel sorunlar göl suyu kalitesini etkileyen faktörlerden kaynaklanmaktadır. Baraj projeleri, gölü besleyen akarsulardan çekilen endüstriyel ve tarımsal sulama amaçlı sular, sanayi kirliliği, evsel atık sular ve tarımsal kimyasallardan gelen kirlilik, gölün temel çevresel problemleridir. Bir değer tahmini, gölün ekonomik değerini yansıtacak ve bu problemlerin önemini anlamaya yardım edecektir. Gölün çevresel değerlemesi, Koşullu Değerleme Yöntemi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, Manyas Gölü'nün çevresel kalite düzeyinin arttırılmasına yönelik senaryo projeye kişi başı 60 YTL/Yıl ödeme arzusu olduğu saptanmıştır. Bulunan bu değer Manyas Gölü'nün içinde bulunduğu havzadaki yerleşim birimlerine genelleştirildiğinde toplam ödeme arzusu 4.800.000 YTL/Yıl olarak hesaplanmıştır. Sonuçlar Manyas Gölü'ne yönelik toplumsal ödeme arzusunun oldukça yüksek değerlerde olduğunu göstermektedir. Manyas Gölü ile ilgili politikalarda bu araştırma sonuçlarının dikkate alınması uzun dönemde gölün sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanmasında yarar sağlayacaktır

A Study on Environmental Valuation of the Lake Manyas

Öz

Environmental issues at the Lake Manyas have arisen from the factors affecting the quality of the lake water. Pollution from agricultural chemicals, discharge of domestic and industrial waste water, withdrawal of water for industrial and agricultural irrigation purposes and dam projects are the main environmental problems of the lake. Estimating of a value would reflect the total economic merits of the lake and help to realize the importance of these problems. Environmental valuation of the lake was carried out by Contingent Valuation Method. According to the results per capita willingness to pay for increasing environmental quality was estimated as 60 New Turkish Liras/year. The aggregate benefit to residents of the Lake Manyas was 4.800.000 TL/year. The results show that social willingness to pay for the Lake Manyas is considerable value. That the research results are taken in to account in the policies related with the Lake Manyas would be benefit on provision of the sustainability in the long term
