BİLGİ YÖNETİMİ

Öz

Bilgi, tarih boyunca “güç” olarak algılanan bir kavram olmuştur. Bunun sebebi ise bilginin, yaşamın temeline yerleşmiş olmasıdır. Şimdilerde, artık değerler, verim ve yenilikle yaratılmaktadır. Bunların ikisi de bilginin işe uygulanmasıyla olur. Bilgi toplumunun başta gelen sosyal grupları, bilgi işçileri, bilgi yöneticileri ise bilgiyi verimli kullanıma tahsis etmeyi bilenler olacaktır. Çağın dünya çapında bilgi ekonomisi, bilgiye dayalı rekabetçi avantajı yakalayan ve sürdürebilen, yani bilgi birikimini ve paylaşımını sermaye hâline getiren toplumlar ve kurumlarla oluşacaktır. Bilgi yönetimi, bilginin verimli bir şekilde teknolojik süreçlere uygulanmasının bir modele dönüşmesini ve örgüt amaçları doğrultusunda bilginin kullanılması için yapılması gereken hareket planını kapsar. Bilgi yönetimi, entelektüel sermayeye ilişkin süreçler, ölçümler, değerlendirmeler ve yatırımların dönüşümü gibi konulara odaklanır. Bilgi yönetimi, ekonomi, psikoloji ve enformasyon yönetimi gibi birçok disipline dayanır. Bu makalede; bilgi kavramı ve bilgi çeşitleri incelendikten sonra, bilgi yönetimi süreci ve bu sürecin basamakları açıklanacak, daha sonra eğitim örgütlerine uygulanabilirliği tartışılacaktır.

INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Öz

Information has been conceptualized for as power for centuries. That is because information is rooted deeply in life. Today, it has been created through values, productivity and novelty both of which can be achieved through applying information to work. Leading social groups of the information society as information workers and information managers will be those who can employ information productively. Besides, global information economy of that era will be constituted with the communities and institutions that can catch and carry on the competitive advantage based on information and that the ones which can capitalize the accumulation and sharing of information. Information management involves the turn of the productive application of information to technological processes into a model and the operation plan to use information in accordance with the aims of the organization Information management focuses on some issues as processes, measures and evaluation and transformation of the investments regarding the intellectual capital. Information management relies on several disciplines as economy, psychology and information management. In this article following the analysis of the notion and the types of information, the process of information management and the steps of this process will be explained. Finally, the applicability of this process in educational organisations will be discussed.
