Transcendental Conditions of Poetry: An Inquiry into Form in Poetry

This article examines the question of form in poetry through an analysis of its transcendental conditions. Form is not an external element separable from content; it is the constitutive component that constructs both the aesthetic and semantic structure of poetry. Form in poetry is constituted through a multifaceted experiential process that ranges from sound aesthetics to affectivity, from imaginative intuition to categorical intuition, and from signification to intentional meaning. Form is a heterogeneous configuration. I argued that what I call expressive form is a coordinated and dynamic structuring that constitutes the very form that makes poetry poetic. The value of a poem lies in the individual qualities that cannot be exhaustively listed—such as novelty and originality in the constitution of expressivity, new relational meanings, and new experiential (subjective) possibilities enabled by the poetic language it establishes. I further claimed that the expressive form underlies all secondary forms; in other words, the individual features that render a poem valuable emerge through the shaping of the expressive form. These secondary forms manifest both in the theoretical ground and in the practical operation of expressivity. Therefore, expressive form is not a fixed schema or pattern but a dynamic structure in and through which the poetic experience takes shape.

Şiirin Transandantal Koşulları: Şiirde Biçim ve Yapılanmaya Dair Bir Soruşturma

Öz

Bu makale şiirde biçim meselesini şiirin transandantal koşullarına ilişkin bir analizle ele almaktadır. Biçim içerikten ayrılabilen harici bir unsur değil; şiirin hem estetik hem de anlam yapısını kuran kurucu öğedir. Şiirde biçim ses estetiğinden duygulanıma, imgesel görüden kategorik görüye kadar çok yönlü bir deneyim süreciyle yapılanır. Şiir sadece anlam taşımaz, anlamın oluşumuna sahne olan bir yapı olarak var olur. İfade edicilik adını verdiğimiz biçimin şiirdeki eşgüdümlü dinamik bir yapılanma olduğunu ve bunun şiiri şiir yapan biçim olduğunu şiirin transandantal koşullarını analiz ederek göstermeye çalıştık. Ayrıca bir şiirin değerinin bu ifade ediciliğin yapılanışındaki yenilik, özgünlük, yeni anlam ilgileri, kurulan şiir diline ilişkin yeni yaşantı (öznel tecrübe) olanakları gibi sayısız bireysel hususiyetler olduğunu iddia ettik. İfade edici form tüm tali formların zeminidir, yani şiiri değerli kılan bireysel hususiyetler ifade edici formun şekillenmesinde ortaya çıkar ve bu formlar hem onun teorik zemininde hem onun pratik işleyişinde vücut bulur. Bu yüzden ifade ediciliğin sabit bir şema ya da kalıp değil, dinamik bir form veya yapılanma olduğunu şiirsel yapılanmanın somut analiziyle ortaya koymaya çalıştık.
