Examination Of Life Sciences 3rd Grade Curriculum Achievements and Activities in The Textbook According to Multiple Intelligences Theory

Öz

This research was carried out to examine the suitability of the activities in the primary school 3rd grade life studies textbook and the acquisitions related to these activities in terms of Multiple Intelligence Theory (MZK). The research is important in terms of better understanding the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, seeing its contribution to the intelligence development of primary school students and evaluating the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in life studies teaching. “What is the level of overlap between the activities in the primary school 3rd grade life studies textbook of MEB publications and the achievements including these activities with the theory of multiple intelligences?” This study, which sought to answer the question, was designed with the qualitative research method. In this research, content analysis and descriptive analysis were used in the analysis of the data collected through document analysis. For this reason, the activities in the MEB publications, which are accepted as textbooks in the 2022-2023 academic year, in the 3rd grade life studies textbook are classified according to the IQ according to the intelligence areas. There are 111 activities in total in the textbook. The data obtained were coded by the researchers, it was seen that all of these activities included intelligence areas according to the CZK, and 219 intelligence areas were determined. In the activities in the life studies textbook, it was seen that verbal/linguistic intelligence fields were included with the most 79 (36.07%) and musical/rhythmic intelligence fields were included with at least 4 (1.82%) activities. According to the results of this research, it was determined that musical/rhythmic intelligence was not sufficiently included in the activities in the 3rd grade life studies textbook.

Çoklu Zekâ Kuramına Göre Hayat Bilgisi 3. Sınıf Ders Programı Kazanımları ve Ders Kitabındaki Etkinliklerin İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu araştırma ilkokul 3. sınıf hayat bilgisi ders kitabındaki etkinliklerin ve bu etkinliklerle ilgili kazanımların Çoklu Zekâ Kuramı (ÇZK) açısından uygunluğunu incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma Çoklu Zekâ Kuramının daha iyi anlaşılması, ilkokul seviyesindeki öğrencilerin zekâ gelişimlerine vereceği katkının görülmesi açısından ve hayat bilgisi öğretiminde Çoklu Zekâ Kuramının değerlendirilmesi açısından önemlidir. “MEB yayınlarına ait ilkokul 3. sınıf hayat bilgisi ders kitabında yer alan etkinliklerin ve bu etkinliklerin dahil olduğu kazanımların çoklu zekâ kuramı ile örtüşme düzeyi nedir?” sorusuna cevap aranan bu çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemiyle tasarlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada doküman incelemesi ile toplanan verilerin analizinde içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Bunun için 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında ders kitabı olarak kabul edilen MEB yayınları 3. Sınıf hayat bilgisi ders kitabındaki etkinlikler ÇZK’ye göre zekâ alanlarına uygun olacak şekilde sınıflandırılmıştır. Ders kitabında toplam 110 etkinlik basamağı bulunmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler araştırmacılar tarafından kodlanmış, bu etkinliklerin hepsinde ÇZK’ye göre zekâ alanlarının yer aldığı görülmüş olup 219 zekâ alanı belirlenmiştir. Hayat bilgisi ders kitabındaki etkinliklerde en çok 79 tane (%36.07) ile sözel/dilsel zekâ alanına yer verilirken en az 4 tane (%1.82) ile müziksel/ritmik zekâ alanına yer verildiği görülmüştür. Bu araştırma sonucuna göre 3. sınıf hayat bilgisi ders kitabındaki etkinliklerde müziksel/ritmik zekâya yeterince yer verilmediği saptanmıştır.
