Öz

Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı; ülkemizde kullanılmakta olan Elektronik Belge Yönetim Sistemleri için bir kullanılabilirlik kontrol kriter listesi oluşturmaktır. Araştırmanın sorusu ise; “EBYS’nin işlevlerinin kurumsallığa katkıda bulunarak, daha verimli ve kullanılabilir olmasına yönelik rehber niteliğinde bir kriter listesi oluşturulabilir mi?” olarak belirlenmiştir.

Yöntem: Çalışmanın yöntemi karma yöntem olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu kapsamda İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi EBYS’si üzerinde 10 kullanıcı ile kullanılabilirlik testleri, 3 uzman tarafından Xerox Sezgisel Değerlendirme Aracı çalışması, Sistem Kullanılabilirlik Ölçeği (SKÖ) uygulaması ve belge inceleme ile ulusal ve uluslararası EBYS ve kullanılabilirlik standartlarının incelenmesi ile bir kullanılabilirlik kontrol kriter listesi elde edilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Bulgular: Çalışmanın sonucunda gözlemlenen ve elde edilen verilere göre Türkiye’de bir kullanılabilirlik kontrol listesine ihtiyaç duyulduğu belirlenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmaya göre EBYS’ler için kullanılabilirliğin nasıl sağlanabileceğine yönelik bir ihtiyaç bulunmaktadır. Bu bulgulara dayanarak dört aşamada değerlendirilmesi gereken on beş başlık altında toplamda 398 maddelik bir kriter listesi elde edilmiştir.

Sonuç: EBYS’ler için kullanıcı çalışmaları başta olmak üzere, çeşitli yöntemlerle elde edilen kriterlerin derlenmesiyle oluşturulan bir kullanılabilirlik kontrol kriter listesi elde edilmiştir. Bu listenin kullanım alanlarının da belirlenmesiyle araştırmanın amacına uygun bir ürün sunulmuştur.

Özgünlük: Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de EBYS’ler için henüz literatürde yer almayan kullanılabilirlik kriterlerinin ve uygulamalarının ortaya konulması yönüyle diğer çalışmalardan ayrılmaktadır.

Electronic Records Management Systems and Usability

Öz

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to create a usability control criteria list for Electronic Records Management Systems used in Türkiye. The research question has been determined as; “Can a list of criteria, as a guide, be created for the functions of ERMS to be more efficient and usable by contributing to institutionalism?”

Method: The method of the study was determined as a mixed method. In this context, it is aimed to obtain a list of usability control criteria via conducting usability tests with 10 users on İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University ERMS; an evaluation of the Xerox Heuristics Tool study by 3 experts; System Usability Scale-SUS application with the attendees, and lastly; it’s been used document analysis method to examine national and international ERMS and usability standards.

Findings: According to the data observed and obtained as a result of the study, it was determined that a usability checklist is needed in Turkey. According to the study, there is a need for how to ensure the usability of ERMS. Based on these findings, a criteria list of 398 items was obtained under fifteen headings that should be evaluated in four stages.

Implications: A usability control criteria list was created due to compiling the criteria obtained by various methods, especially user studies for ERMS. By determining the usage areas of this list, a product suitable for the research was presented.

Originality: This study differs from other studies in terms of revealing usability criteria and applications that still need to be included in the literature for ERMS in Türkiye.
