The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of performance pressure on counterproductive work behaviors and turnover intention from the perspective of affective events theory. The research population was defined as employees working in five-star hotels operating in Antalya. Data were collected from employees of 12 five-star hotels that agreed to participate in the study. Convenience sampling was employed, and analyses were conducted with 424 valid questionnaires. In analyzing the research data, the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method, a type of structural equation modeling (SEM), was applied using the SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that performance pressure affects both organizational and individual dimensions of counterproductive work behavior. Notably, the tendency toward individual counterproductive work behavior is more strongly affected by performance pressure. Furthermore, the results demonstrate that performance pressure positively affects employees’ turnover intention.
