Öz

Adolescents rsquo; media use has some phase specific properties in terms of both quality and quantity As it appears at the present day the use of media by adolescents is in the form of multimedia Studies about the duration and amount of media use showed that adolescents spent a significant amount of their time in front of various media types The studies invetigating the effect of media were especially those on violence sex and alcohol substance abuse Almost all of these studies showed that the contents of media had negative impacts on all of these three issues On the other hand the role of media on the formation of identity and the state of belonging to a group during nbsp;psychological development of adolescents has not been studied adequately Turk Arch Ped 2011; 46 Suppl: 22 4

Ergenlerde medya kullanımı gerek nicelik gerek nitelik bakımından döneme özgü özellikler sergiler Günümüzde ortaya çıktığı biçimiyle ergenlerin medya kullanımı çoklu kullanım biçimindedir Kullanım süresi ve miktarıyla ilgili çalışmalar ergenlerin günün önemli bir bölümünü değişik medya türleri karşısında geçirdiklerini göstermektedir Etki çalışmaları özellikle şiddet cinsellik ve alkol madde kullanımı ile ilişkili çalışmalardır Bu çalışmaların hemen hemen tümü medya içeriğinin her üç konuda da olumsuz etkileri olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır Öte yandan medyanın ergenin ruhsal gelişimi sırasında grup aidiyeti ve grup kimliğini biçimlendirmesindeki rolü yeterince araştırılmamıştır nbsp; Türk Ped Arş 2011; 46 Özel Sayı: 22 4
