Evidence-Based Practice in Social Work: Examination for Social Work Education

Öz

 Used in medical
and social work, the evidencebased practice is a new paradigm began to be
noticed impartant in recent years. This paradigm dwell upon an importance of
evidence in order to make an effective decisions in social work practices. The
main emphasis on the evidence-based practice include many methods to reduce the
disconnect between the theory and the practice. The social workers benefit from
the more experienced colleagues, academic staffs or their personal experiences
during the ecision-make process. Unfortunately, these methods are not
sufficient to make a valid decisions. The evidence-based skill is to gain in
theundergraduate training and especially in the research methods. Besides this
skill is planned to strengthen by the way of life-long learning. It this study
the importance of evidence-based practise, possible benefits for social work
education and its limitations, and used programme in the sample university is
analyzed and investigated. Thus some suggestions were made for promoting the
new paradigm both in the world and especially in our country.

SOSYAL HİZMETTE KANITA DAYALI UY GULAMALAR: SOSYAL HİZMET EĞİTİMİ AÇISINDAN İRDELENMESİ

Öz

Kanıta dayalı
uygulama tıp alanında kullanılan ve sosyal hizmet alanında son yıllarda önemi
daha çok fark edilmeye başlayan yeni bir paradigmadır. Bu paradigm sosyal
hizmet uygulamalarında daha etkili kararlar verebilmek için kanıtın önemi
üzerinde durmaktadır. Kanıta dayalı uygulamanın temel vurgusu, alan ile
uygulama arasındaki kopukluğu azaltabilecek yöntemleri içinde barındırmasıdır.
Sosyal hizmet uzmanları karar verme süreçlerinde çoğunlukla daha tecrübeli
meslektaşlarından, hocalarından ya da kişisel tecrübelerinden faydalanmaktadır.
Bu yöntemlerin doğru kararlar verebilmek için yeterli olmadığı düşünülmektedir.
Kanıta dayalı uygulama becerisinin lisans eğitiminde ve özellikle  araştırma metodlarının iyi bir şekilde
öğretilmesi ile kazandırılması ve bu becerinin yaşam boyu öğrenme yolu ile
pekiştirilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Bu çalışmada kanıta dayalı uygulamanın önemi,
ortaya çıkma nedenleri, sosyal hizmet eğitimi için olası faydaları,
sınırlılıkları ve eğitimde kullanımına ilişkin bir örnek üniversitenin programı
incelenmiş ve gerek dünyada gerekse ülkemizde bu yeni paradigmanın
yaygınlaştırılması amacıyla önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
